OK, I guess it's time we clear this up. Promotion will work like this:1. Conference champions (teams that reach the league finals) automatically promote (circa 80 leagues * 2 = 160 teams)2. this leaves 256 - circa 160 = circa 96 spots to be filled by these criteria (in order)- conference rank- wins- forfeits- point difference- points madeThis means, in practice, that a the top ranked, non-conference champion teams are all mixed up together and the top ranked ones will be promoted. This, of course, means that some leagues may have only 2 promoting teams, other ones may have 4 or 5 or even more promoting teams!However, we still reserve the right to change this if we think of a better promotion strategy, but basically this is the option which is probably going to be used.
