You start the thread, you talk through plans, lineups, and tactics, but it's your call at the end. A lot of times what you throw out on Monday is in line with what the majority of managers on the off-site think is best, but sometimes it isn't. You should never yield to their demands and wishes though if you feel strongly about something though. You were elected, not them.
Nothing to disagree with here. In the end, the U21 manager makes the final decision. A decision I would make based on my own instinct, coupled with the thoughts of a trusted cabinet of managers. I keep stressing the importance of teamwork to ease the paranoia and decrease the attacks from the offsite. (of which I am member of, and do read)
Major decisions, such as finals tactics, would not be openly discussed anywhere. I would implement a new email based communication system for things of this nature and for scheduling discussions. (i.e. mailing lists, cc's, etc) It would be much easier for managers to schedule time for a meeting when they have the information on their phone.
It's time for all of us to let the small inner circle of the offsite know that we are serious about winning the GOLD.
