for things like this we say 2-3 is a bad decission, cause your players are matched similar than M2M but with poor results

in a zone, poor defenders always have less problems, thats the reason cause in nba it was not permitted

if you use weak defenders they won't necessary perform better in a Zone, a Zone helps to compensate atletical missmatches but makes other things tougher to defend. And defense is not just athletic. So generally it is good for different type of players.

Well, there are also some cases in which you play a 3-2 zone and you lose, when if you played m2m you would win. Why? Because the SF has to have good OD or the opponent players will just keep shooting on his face and making shots. Just because you have a good rating in OD doesn't mean that it will stop the opponents attack.

IS doesn't affect SFs salary. (or SG or PG) So it's free to a few levels above any outside skill. While it's a chore to train IS for small players, those who have done rip the benefits. There are tons of guards with above Prominent outside skills and below Inept IS, I'm sure they won't be laying too much in vs 2-3 zone.

flow like politicians..
do we have to shout to make people understand 2-3 Zone is not working because it makes the opponent score with high percentage, not because it makes you lose the game..?

i must be crazy that i'm still writing in this forum..

you still dont get the advantage of a 23 zone..its not about the field goal percentage its all about the absolut number of shoots taken from opponents PF/C compared to a man/man def
