I expected to lose anyway, but thought you'd win with TIE. (Plus I set the wrong tactics for the wrong game blah). About the minutes... didn't give it much thought. Assumed if you put more effort, you probably used your best lineup. If so, that means 48+48 more in the cup? Though it's hardly a big deal for only 1 week.

lol, i never said your guys were terrible or you don't have rebounders?? but... when it's 41 min into the game and my center has only got *2* rebounds? (Keep in mind that's a guy with a DMI of4.4 mil vs. someone with a DMI of 700k). To put how bad that into perspective, one of my 40 year olds had 4 rebs in an NBBA playoff game!!! at SF & playing 30-some minutes.

as for it being the 3-2 zone... according to the game manual there's no direct effect on rebounding. (as opposed to 1-3-1 zone or 2-3 zone).

The game vs. me was obviously the better game to put his regular lineup against. But with the effort he hurt his chances in the only game that truly matters? A tough week 3 cup game seems a whole lot more important than 1 of 22 regular season games?

He had the option of HCA + max enthusiasm for this last game and the cup. Plus followed up by at least 2 home games next week. Things were set up real nice. Not that it's all suddenly ruined now, but...

lol, none of this is a big deal. my bad.

Back to the in general 3-2 thing...
Maybe there is an effect, idk? It's just that according to the manual 3-2 zone only causes weaker ID, & is the slowest paced defense. Actually in the past I used to use 3-2 zone quite often & never noticed any real effect on rebounding. If you want I'll play 3-2 zone our next matchup & we can get a 2nd sample? Provided you run out the same lineup more or less. (no major injuries / revamped rosters)

In lower leagues, 3-2 zone was arguably the best defense vs. LI. Certainly was for my team. The only exception was maybe vs. truly dominant inside teams. Quite often I'd 3-2 zone *hoping* for the other team to LI. Yeah, it seems like it should decrease rebounding if 2-3 increases it... But that's where 1-3-1 comes in. Now 1-3-1 really kills your defensive rebounding.

Oh & yeah I get what you're saying about regular season wins. You might be right. I can see wanting to secure a home win above all else, when winning out at home keeps you safe.

But personally I think you usually end up with the same # of, if not more wins by staying in the cup longer. Just stream of consciousness here.... Very early exit puts you behind the 8-ball. All-star week will kill your enthusiasm. (if you do manage to keep it high til then). Think of how many games you'll have to play at an enthusiasm disadvantage from here on out. Is normaling at 8 enthusiasm still a sure thing vs a team at 11+? Even as soon as next week... that 1st home game just got slightly harder. (coming off 2 normals in a week).

Almost mastered the balancing act:

Typical Weekly Net Income: $ 628

That's just enough to feed by ferocious twinky habit
