In general it's better to use slow paced tactics in close games and fast paced tactics in games you expect to win big.

why won't you agree with that? if you are supposed to win big, fast paced tactics give you more opportunities to get shots off, making for higher scores, meaning you should blow them out. if you are an underdog, slowing the game down will mean lower scores, meaning you will at least be in it with a chance at the end to pull out a W.

yea, the rules even hint at that

Fewer possessions in the game also means that scores will be lower, which means that bad teams can stay closer to good ones.

but the quality isn't the same, if you had more possesion and a better percentage you could keep closer to a good/superior opponent who also have more posssesion and the same percentages

This hint never works in my eyes, only for some special teams who have a very good ball contribution.

Just because people ignored their Offensive Flows a lot (usually that rating is way lower than the other ratings), doesn't mean it isn't true.

It's the same story as with shot blocking, people ignored it and are now complaining the new effect is still bad. Hey an inept shotblocker won't get 7 blocks a game, just like teams playing with superior ratings compared to their offensive flow won't be able to execute slow paced tactics effectivly.

Also, the idea of a slow paced tactic doesn't necessarly have to be a higher score for yourself. Keeping the ball longer than usual means your opponent won't have the ball that much. When you're opponents plays fast pace tactics you will have the ball most of the time. This teams their score will belower, especially if their looks aren't that great.

That is a very good point you've raised. I'll note that for my next match. Tho i did lose to a recent PL game against a Run & Gun player but I'd blame my outside D.

what do you mean by their "looks"?

Yo! Yo! D for D best PF in D Aussie BB. D Name is Kye Duffill (10080211), averages nothing but pure amazing! Vote for Duffman!

or like a level 14 shotblocker who makes less blocks ;)

And another poblem is to make as good rating with good enthusiam, so and now you could say a general impression is right because nobody has a specialized team which make it right.

The way the players look at their opportunity to hit the possible shot attempt.

So if your SG got a great look, he thinks his shot will go in most of the time, which happens more when the offense dominates the defense. If your SG didn't get a great look (but takes the shot), the chance of his shot going in is smaller, which happens when the offense is slightly better, equal to, or worse than the opponents defense.

When you play a fast paced tactic and you've got terrible 'looks', aka the chance of the shots going in isn't that big, you will lose possession pretty fast (since you play fast paced, thus take worse looks than slow paced, thus take quicker shots, thus miss more) without even scoring a single point. This will decrease the opponents score a lot.
