i wouldnt let him go at that price and the way i would ensure that is by setting a starting price i can live with i just wouldnt list a guy i want 500k for for 1k

i admit i dont always live by this but a good rule of thumb is if a guy has a range of say 80-500k list him at 60 or 70 then people are likely to start bidding because he is seen as good value and even if you only get one bid you got something reasonable

i do list people at 1k sometimes if i really really want then to go but dont want to sack them for example my bad draft picks or players who have played for my team for a while but arent worth anything but who i dont want to force into retirement

yeah too sentimental i guess

the exception is when the guys desctiption says something like 108 similar players have been sold recently and he is probably better than all of those then i would list at the upper end

seems fair to me

the other bad thing about doing this with Simon Schultz (13434612) would be that your fans no longer see him as your draft pick but seeing as you resold him just days later it is no problem just good business but ill bet your % was down from 96% to like 75%

I think it went down to 78%, but still 78% on 200 is better than 97% on 20 :D
And I originally set his price to about 350k but he didn't sell, so I set it to 1k and not many people bid, and so I set him to 200k and he sold.

And at the time I didn't realise he wouldn't be seen as a draftee anymore.
