I'm sorry, but that guys hair was too awesome for me to care what the reasoning behind the photo was.

Day 3 (Final Day):

The remaining 28 players and I were called into a conference room to have a team talk and to reveal the final rosters. I could feel the excitement, anxiety, and nervousness in the air.

To my left was Cliff Gonzales and to the right Willie Dillard, so I took the opportunity to ask them questions about their thoughts.
"Pssst... hey Cliff do you think you'll make the team?"
Cliff Gonzales - " I think I've proven myself enough to be part of this team."
"Alright well good luck!... hmm.. Pssst.. Willie are you making the final cut?"
Willie Dillard - "Huh.. O I sure hope so! I've given all these guys a run for their money the last few days."

After several minutes of intensely waiting for new National Team coach Jfarb001 to arrive, the time had finally come and all 28 players took their seats and listened closely.

One by one the names were read off...

11 players were selected. The remaining 17 players not having their name said were about to leave through the doors when coach Jfarb001 commanded them to stop and said he wasn't finished.

Jfarb001 - "We decided to go with these 11 players to start with, even though we can carry 18 on the roster. This gives us the flexibility to call up 6 additional players at any time during the Americas Tournament. I'm letting the players who were cut know that we will be monitoring you and that you should stay in shape, keep training, and be ready if and when we need you! Everyone who participated in camp this season should be proud of what they have accomplished. Anyway, camp was great...I'm going to miss yelling at all of you guys...

A slow clap was started in the back but nobody is sure who started it but all joined in to congratulate the new coach and the America team that was put together. It's going to be a hard long fought road back to glory but with our players, staff, and most importantly our community it is no doubt going to be an exciting adventure!

The team prepares for its matchup Monday vs. Bolivia and went to work right away. Already Coach Jfarb001 was giving orders to his new team but no doubt his wisdom and commands will help lead Team USA!
Jfarb001 - "HEY INEZ, GET ME A COFFEE WOULD YA?...WHAT?!? YOU DON'T SPEAK ENGLISH?!?"

I am just wondering, since the NT doesn't pay salary, if we can have 18 players on the roster, why don't we?

Because once a player is on the roster, you can't take him off without damaging enthusiasm. So its better to just to leave spots open and call players up once we are sure they have good GS and are being trained.

Also because owners don't get the NT merch boost if there player is riding the NT bench. Or at least it is no were as large as if he played some. So a theory I thought before I found that is out, is why don't we put the best 18, 19, and 20 year old on the U21 team so there owners could get a merch boost and afford to keep them, and perhaps use that extra 8-10k per week to buy a roster that can help them promote, so they could eventually train them to the NT. However unless they play we are just wasting 3 spots. So that is why players that are not worthy are not put on the NT plus the obvious lack of skill reason.

Okay, I forgot about the enthusiasm drop when you take them off. Thanks :) And oriole that is an interesting idea if there really is a noticeable boost in merch for bench riders...
