The economy definitely has some problems, but nothing so drastic to quit over. They main problems is with the game engine / play by play, and coaching.

I think it's fair to blame us on our mistakes, non-manager decision related mistakes. Unfortunately the start of the season hasn't been how we hoped it would have, and that's a huge understatemt. Part of the low revenues of your last game are caused by our failure, the season ticket holders bug. However, we finally think we found the problem so we hope to correct it shortly by adjusting the season ticket holders.
Currently we are still discussing what is the best way to handle the too many problems that arose during the first week of this season, we hope to find a good solution soon, since yeah, you guys certainly deserve better.

That having said, I don't think it's fair to blame us on mistakes that are related to bad manager choices. Reading your story, I also think that's a considerable part of your problems as well. You can't blame us for having 130k staff salaries, neither for making huge losses at auctions, neither for bad offseason planning. Maybe it's better to train your draftee up to a 2,5M player in 3 seasons, instead of selling it off for 300k now, who knows?

We will do anything to fix mistakes on our side, but one of the most exciting parts of this game is that you can actually be a better manager than your friend or rival. That you can outmanage him and going from a worse team to a better one. This is exactly the reason why we will try to keep our influence in manager decisions as low as possible. People should be able to make bad choices, just as they should be able to take their team from the bottom to the top.

Wow, my season ticket holders are gone...3163 right now...from 4429.

I´ve never seen such a low figure on first division....on Season 3 I had between 3600-3800 if I remember well.

Ouch, this season turned from fantastic to caotic in a matter of minutes.

So this is how I read it.

"After being relegated for the first time in many seasons, instead of accepting my new challenge and trying to find a way back into the top division, I'm gonna sit here and chuck a tantrum, throwing my toys out of the pram in the process and quit the game"

Well sir, I hope you don't take have the same attitude to challenges in real life, cause then you should just quit life.

You haven't managed your team and assets particularly well and your awareness of the whole situation leaves much to be desired.

You're overreacting about the player transfer prices - the numbers part. Obviously the economy crashed big time. But that was bound to happen and it's more on the users. A positive is that all players lost value. The big problem with your situation is you waited to sell your player when he was 29 and his stock plummeted. You also seemed to have bought a different player for $8m when his value simply could never have been nearly that high. Managerial mistake. I don't think you're mad at the economy system.

Your 18,000 capacity arena filled 4,212 seats last game and only ~11,000 last season. You weren't prepared. With a ~$500k team salary and little coming in from your arena, financial problems are apparent. Fundamental stuff. This is your biggest current problem and it's a simple fix.

If you want to earn money from youth players, you'd get more value training your draftee than your you will your centres.

The game doesn't cater to you. Some work is required. Staggering.

To all new players who may read this thread,

First, Ignore the original poster at your peril. That could be you one day if you're not careful.

Second, understand the game is dynamic and is always changing. What works one season may not work the next. Managing your team is just one aspect. The real challenge comes in monitoring economic direction and actual player value. A high salary does not always equal a good player.

If you are choosing between a 17k PF with average or higher passing, OD, and driving skills or a 29 k PF with atrocious ratings in those skills. Choose the 17k guy. Those high salary numbers may make you feel your team look intimidating, but in reality, players who are worth more than their salaries are good for you financially and strategically. That is my opinion anyway and I am sure you will find those who disagree.

This game is all strategy. The more time you invest, the better the rewards.

The staff of BB are just regular dudes and are bound to make mistakes. If you notice one, alert them. Don't berate them. If we keep those clowns (I am looking at you juiced) happy, they will feel motivated to work harder and smarter. Throwing tomatoes does not make a comedian funnier.

I have been playing since season 4 and have had my share of blunders and struggles. You will have yours. Expect them, and learn quickly from them.

Throwing pies at a comedian is funny.

What Plotts meant, I am certain, was throwing tomatoes, which is a way that people used to express their dislike of things.
