1 on 1 training may not add to salary but it still contributes to the cap.

Does 1 pop in a secondary contribute to the cap as much as 1 pop in a primary does?

ive been reading this thread and all the replies about skill points and numbers between 70-79 for example. is there a specific number cap to each player's potential that is linked to total number of skill points?

Different skills probably have different weightings towards the cap but if someone cracks the cap formula they are a genius.

But your 22yo all-star potential player has a salary of 27k. Mine has a salary of 45k.

He had 27k at the beginning of the season. Seeing as we are deep in the first half of the season, he received quite some training and in few weeks will probably be reaching potentially around 45k.

Secondaries count less towards cap than primaries. I have a 10k guard with 6th man potential. No matter if I train 1 on 1 or Jump shot, he doesn't pop in JS, but does in HA and DR.

So it would be safe to assume you can train this player in 1 on 1 or JS at least until the end of this season. He will probably cap with one or max two more pops in IS, but you will get those secondaries up in the process. And sometimes, having two more pops in HA and DR is probably better than one in IS.

if he is capped in one skill(JS), he is also capepd in all of the others. So maybe he could still be trained, or you push driving and handling to skillups against the cap.
