Multiple teams is already cheating - this way you´re only to get caught easier. So this is not opening another door for cheating (as those who may use it by your way are already doing it anways), it also opens up a way of catching them.

I do see your point in lowest leagues of a country to some degree, but those leagues are filled with bots racking up the high picks anyways, so after all there´s a solid risk of straightout losing your money after you bough the 13th pick because some of the bots before you might accidentally grab one of the three useful players in the draft nowadays.

Opening up draft picks for the whole market doesn´t make much sense to me, as you simply have no scouting information about a foreign league. I prefer the closed market solution because it really adds another variation to the drafting process - it´s not even guaranteed you find a buyer for your pick. And writing down the price of your choice, only to make it a "will someone buy or not" thing seems pretty reasonable to me

You can make a ladder system, like:

no. 1 - 1,000,000
no. 2 - 900,000
no. 3 - 800,000
and then
no. 4 - 750,000
no. 5 - 700,000
...
no. 16 - 150,000

and no 2nd or 3rd rounders available for trading at all - the prizes sound pretty reasonable to me, and still leave enough "fantasy" in the market so that pondering whether to buy or sell is no easy choice.

especially bot leagues, will give you a very high reward for your draft pick for a low price. Yes it might be that so bot pick the potential best pick before, but the chanche is much higher that human do this while you still could get quite good second round picks there. And the good thing is, there are quite few teams to regulate the market, and target a fair price for the pick.(or with your fixed prices, because a bot league 13 pick could be worth like a normal league 2 or 3)

The low pick is not only good for the buyer, it would be equally good for the seller, so he´d probably think twice before selling it for a mere 250 k.

I never said anything about selling it to anyone in the game. Also since draft picks (unlike players) are easy to tell in value, even with bidding you could just set a maximum bid for each pick.

That´s the very reason trading PICKs instead of Players is interesting. Because it has a gambling part.

But 1st pick isn't enough. You must still pay for skauting too to find the best player. 14x40k = 560k. And if added we have over 1,5M. It's completly unprofitable if we compared to current prices on TL. I have no player in squad who is worth more than 1M.
And please note that top leagues (1st or 2nd in country) it's only few percent of all leagues in this game. 1,5M for 4th division club is big money, I think it's enough cash to buy 3 players to first squad.
Picks under 16 are worthless because you have allways better pick for free.
I think we don't need other game inside this game. Current system is good.

The idea behind trading for draft picks is that if you invest for scouting anyways, getting another pick might increase your return-of-invest value. If you find a great guy and you´re keen on getting him, paying another bunch of dollers to get him is probably more saistying than watching him go to an opponent.
