I never saw this as a problem and I use Meidling Parrots- in your league, I believe- as an example. The game makes you make choices. If you want to have a star you can have one. Period. I believe it was you who argued that Turbato and co. would be fighting relegation this year. At this moment they are not fighting for relegation but fighting for a playoff spot, the same as your team.

The parrots are in a very weak division and have been fighting the relegation ever since. Austrias DIV I had one or two teams tanking/quitting plus a chanceless promoted team every year (same this season), so I consider our league pretty weak in general. I think you wont find a team like the parrots playing as "successful" as them in a top division.

A 400k player + couple of bums-team is not working well.

That's not only rude but untrue. He has stayed in the Austrian Bundesliga for 6 seasons. He also has one of the best players in the whole game (#2 by rating) which is pretty cool. Having Turbato has undoubtedly kept him up during the relegation series. What's more, he is battling this season for the final playoff spot in his division with a team wage bill of under $600k. Your team, I notice, has the third highest wage bill in the whole league ($718k) yet is in the same boat as MP, battling for a final playoff spot.
There are a handful of top divisions and a boatload of other divisions. So while the MP's strategy might fail in the Serie A, it has proven to be a viable strategy in a small country's top division. There are a lot more small countries than there are big ones in this game.

Once I scored a basket that still makes me laugh.

Hey Knecht, I don't mind you denigrating my team, but don't discourage others from following its shining example ;-)

If my post was understood as that I am sorry, I did not meant it that way.

I think any further discussion leads nowhere.

The new stats thing is ok but what I suggested in the suggestion forum was My teams all time top 10 scorers. assisters, rebounders and so on....two things I really wanted to see.....a buying freeze for the last 16 of the CUP and all time stat leaders for my team....Oh well...maybe next season.

I really like the idea of the team all time top 10 in stats. This really should be looked into.
