If you increase your arena size you will also increase your revenue. If you buy better players within reason you shouldn't see much of a difference in income.

1 or 2 pos training?

2 position trainees are cheaper, because they can have as low as starter potential in div5, but your team improves faster during the course of the season. And you can even play your big trainee as SF sometimes. So three of your starters are constantly getting stronger! Which means all you need is a good veteran guard and a solid veteran guard + your trainees.

or

1 pos train: getting a decent 18 yo trainee with allstar+ potential >= 250000 each.
and by the end of the 2nd season if it's a big, he(x3)'s pushing your salary cap.

Has anyone 1 pos trained in div5 successfully?

WOah I appreciate all the feedback.
My staff is all competent and 10k 9k and 10k going down the staff list.
I think I will go back and forth between 20k and 10k for next year as I will be shooting for the first spot and there have been times where we only had 2 bots teams. SO, i cant be sure how it will go. Cause It will still probably be 14 or 13 picks before me next year. Also, thanks for the bit about having a 3rd trainee getting the left over minutes. I have the perfect players for that. I think I'll figure out how I'll use the draftees first then I'll pick up 3 more 7k to 10k players once I get some more money.

We have a lot of great outside shooters. Unfortunately, we play all our games indoors.

So, you think me one position training is ridiculous. The only thing I try to consider is how many of these players will i really be keeping come D.3 or D.2. I don't know if I'd keep everyone if they were 2 position training but maybe if I was 1 pos training. Plus at least right now I only have 2 19yr olds so im just 1 pos training but If you really think 2 pos would be a better idea...

Unfortunately, Mercado will never be good for D4 due to his low potential. Sewell will be 20 next season, and you can probably draft an 18 yo who's just as good but has 2 years on Sewell.
I have never trained bigs, and many say it's smarter to train guards and buy bigs.

Anyway, as long as you make profit, you're not wasting time. You can spend another season experimenting and expanding your arena. You can 1 pos train even a 6th man guy, and then sell him when he caps. But I'd rather you sell him cause he doesn't cut it any more at your level than cause you can't afford his salary.

An advanced trainer is affordable and has most "sound per pound".

I would suggest focusing on getting a lvl 4 trainer and not to put much money into for Team Doc. I've had a Minimal Doctor for most of the season and I've had only one lingering injury. For the money I saved I can cover an extra player and now finally start working on my arena. So I'm at 2k(Minimal)/24k (Advanced/Fitness)/6k (Basic/ Crowd Involvement). I'm planning on trying to pick up a cheaper Advanced or better trainer as soon as my Arena is ready for next season.

I would suggest maybe thinking about going that route, with a cheaper Advanced trainer.

I'd also spend 20k on scouting points as many weeks as possible, even if you done scouting for the season, and just save the extras. That extra 140k for the season could end up getting you a great draftee down the line. You just have to remember to think of those points as investments.

I think it's worth having a doctor with massage specialty. I'm not talking happy ending level quality, but a basic or competent doc with massage seems to help when your players accidentally get 75-80 minutes due to some loser scrub fouling out in a scrimmage.

I guess so, I just don't let that happen. Maybe I'll have less luck with that next season though. I might consider looking for a 4k-ish Massage Doc. Just sayin you don't need to spend a bunch of the staff... really don't need an Advanced trainer but you can usually get them on the cheap and they seem to work well.

Scouting Points > Staff. In DV.

Hmm I agree that mercado is out and I will only get rid of a player when they no longer help us to progress. I'm making money right now about 50k . I'm just gonna see where my draftees put me. I just don't know whether i should pick the best three or go for another solid trainee. Unforunately I didn't get to do the one that tells you how old they are.
