Stern set it up so the Hornets would have a management staff the operated as any other staff in the NBA. It was important to seperate the running of the team from the league offices and avoid conflict of interest. Stern then turns around and overides the very seperation he deemed necesary for fiscal reasons related to the other 29 actually owned teams. It is plain and simple collusion, and that is bad for those that dont get what actually just happened to the NBA.
