The Tsunami was mother nature at her worst but the Fukushima Nuclear stuff is chalked up to some idiot who got greedy and didn't want to take it offline. The thing was built in 1966 and should have been shut down in 2001(35 year life span of that type of reactor). At the latest 2006. The saddest part is that in 1991 the basement flooded and the generators failed, to me that would have been a red flag. Take the generators out of the basement...What did TEPCO do? Nothing...Even after an engineer informed his superiors about this accident, and that he mentioned the possibility that a tsunami could inflict damage to the generators in the turbine-buildings near the sea. The healing from the quake and tsunami are already in motion but the Nuclear stuff...It will be a long, long, long time until all that damage can be even accessed. The last time I checked, Tsunamis don't cause cancer. And you will see a boom of cancer in the next 10-20 years...The accident that wasn't an accident at all...Caesium-137 anybody?
