I'm not sure why these high IS players are your golden boys to run something other than LI...seems odd to me.


For flexibility of tactics.

JR is needed for motion. besides which, if your plan is to run motion, I'll just play 3-2 and you will lose (assuming TSPs of players around same levels)...badly.... unless you play an LI or LP...which only shows how overpowered it is.


So you haven't seen games where PF takes most of the shots in Motion? Can you explain why is that?

That's what made us (Slovenia) an easy target at Eurobasket 2009. We had good bigs, but guards were poor shooters. Everyone was playing 2-3 against us and we couldn't drive or pass to our bigs, so we had been shooting 3s...missing tons of them.

In BB you play a 2-3 zone and suddenly every guard becomes a Steve Nash / Reggie Miller hybrid.
