I agree with w_alloy. But I'd even go as far as to say your SG should really be a range threat.

If I were picking up a LI SG for $50k, I'd want something like this: 15/11/16/13/15/12-8/7/3/6 $48k/wk (still listed as a PG, though).

But, yeah, don't worry too much about the IS. As long as it's 5+ your guy can make some inside shots and drives. And having the threat outside can do some things for you. It can dissuade opponents from giving you a 2-3 zone. And it can prevent opponent guards from helping down low [although I know this effect is debatable, I would like to think it exists].

Dont forget DR, imo its very very important to play looking inside...

Its strange, but in my BB life a i had a lot of players with 15-16-17 DR and IS in 1, yes you read well 1, and playing LI they had really good porcentages...

I think IS its important, but you need also DR. Imo this player its ok, if i looking a men to play inside i will decide for something like that...

This example that i put with IS in 1 is really extremely, but its true.

To be clear i prefer this player JS 18- DR 16- IS-8 than JS18 DR 13 IS-10

Sorry for my english, a lot of time its difficult to me to explain well...

But the ratio favors "Inside Shots" over jumpers. Why in the world would you want a 15+ JS/1-6 IS PG if you're running Look Inside?? That's stupid. If you want to utilize a PG on offense with jump shots, then you switch to a Run n' Gun or a Princeton. The fact that everyone here keeps boasting a higher JS on a pure LI PG is just downright nonsense.

If you had to trade off a bunch of other skills for the JS, it's not worth it. But JS is almost free salary wise on PGs. Guards will take jump shots in LI, and JS also boosts ability to hit inside shots (per a large analytical study). There's no reason not to have it.

You don't "need" JS on a LI PG. That doesn't mean more isn't better.
