Hmm yes of course, I'll need to see if that's feasible on a per game basis I think and wether I find the loss/surplus minutes for my other players worth the while. Thanks.

I used to run with 7 players in games where I was single position training a playrr.

2 backups are backups for 2 positions each.

Also noticed the same thing this season, my trainees usually got 46 to 47 mins. Thought it was stamina, so trained it during ASW. Most players popped in stamina. But this week 2 of my trainees got 47 mins. each (had 9 active players each game) None played out of position.

Cant seem to identify the problem, in one scrimmage played 6 guys. The GE took out my trainee after 46-47 mins even though he was set to play starter backup and 3rd sub. DC was strictly follow.

Anybody have any clues regarding this?

Thanks!

I´ve addressed that problem again and again to the BBs but I never get an answer on why the game engine is set up like that.

I wanted to start a discussion there (258611.1), but no BB showed up.
I can confirm it has nothing to do with stamina or playing way out of position. In my mentioned (71918296) the player´s best position is PF, so C cannot be considered out of position, and his stamina is one of the best of my whole team, whereas the player that got in has no stamina and is not able to play basketball at all.

It´s very frustrating that the BBs refuse to see a need of changing the minute management to a little more realism...

Wow and I thought my situation was bad, yours is even worse. Very frustrating to see nothing can be done about it if you want to stay competitive (only playing 5 players is only viable in scrimmages).

Another solution would be to only train 2 players, but that way the financial side gets much worse as your expensive trainer is only used for 2 trainees instead of 3. Training should be made more attractive, not less, otherwise we only get old teams training GS.

That problem solves itself!

Have a look at my team (38913)

Prior to this season I had 3 trainees being Williams, Palmeri & Ryder who up until this season I trained in single position training.

In the 5 or so seasons prior to this season, most weeks all 3 trainees would get 48 minutes.

To do this I play 7 players per game.

Id list the trainee either at Centre or PG and have them listed as Starting, backup and reserve for that position.

The 2 players who werent starting were listed as backups for 2 of the other positions each.

My trainees are SFs so I had them defensively switching with the SF position, where I would either play a guard or a tall.

As long as the trainee had at least inept stamina and the team didnt blow away teams by too big of margins, each player usually got 48 minutes in the game that they played.

Twice I won 2nd Division Championships whilst single position training my 3 trainees.

This season Ive been able to play them as SFs and PFs and dual position train them and Ive had a fairly successful season so far in Div one

Thanks Sid, was actually thinking of going that route instead of the usual 9 player lineup. Will try it and hope the GE cooperates - I mean i tried playing 6 guys in a scrimmage and still my trainee was subbed out (stamina was 5 btw).

Unfortunately I played 5 guys last scrimmage and since the GE couldnt sub out my SF Trainee, it gave him a 2 week injury after 39 minutes :P
