Kazakhstan run over by slick looking Aussies.
End score: 117 - 63
Top scorer: TP (27pts)
Top rebounds: Munro (18)
Top assists: No Ulcers (8)
Interesting stat: The assist count was 31-11 in Australia's favour. Surprisingly, even though Australia led the board comfortably 57-44, Kazakhstan led the O-boards 16-14.
The intro music to the Kazakhstans u21 NT team as they ran out on to the court said it all with NOFXs "The Decline" blasting through the speakers to pump up its fans for what we were all hoping would be an entertaining match. It obviously worked with home fans having an impact in the first qtr. The game started with a very up and down style game, with some great looks from both teams. Kazakhstans decline came hard and fast though as they failed to replicate their shooting touch from the first qtr, going from 19 to 16 to 11 pts, before recapturing some touch in the final stages. The game hit an all time low as Kazakhstans PF airballed a layup with 2 mins to go in the 3rd, and Australia emptied its bench onto the court like an 8 yr old school boy emptying his shaving filled pencil case onto his school desk looking for his sharpener.
MVP votes:
With TP snubbed last week in what was an MVP performance, he made a statement tonight with 27 points at 65% shooting to go with 7 assists, 4 boards and 2 steals. TPs +52 highlights his influence on the court, highlighting the teams dominance whenever he steps on the court. He makes others around him better.

2 votes- Munro (24pts, 18 boards, 2 ass, 2 blks, 60% fg, 15.0 rating)

The Aussies now face a couple of scrimmages before facing 91st ranked Lubnan.
