If you're elected I wouldn't mind helping you out on scouting or giving some advice if you're interested. It would also be useful if Oueftete can give the winner some advice on what to do and how things are run just because he has the experience.

Yes, help from people in community would be a great asset, scouting, offering opinions and so on.

I won't deliberately not give people advice or share information... but sometimes I'm busy, and sometimes I'm just lazy. So I'm not making any promises on how helpful I'll be.

What do you think are the most important improvements to focus on for team Canada, and how will you work with the teams that do have players on the team? Also, how do we build the player base that is required for a thriving national team?

That I would be able to say once I have access to the players. As it stands I don't know the stats so I can't say where we need reinforcements. I could start guessing from the stats in previous games, but that's just guessing, a lot has to do with the way the game was set up.

How will I work with them? I am not sure I get the question completely... I will encourage the owners to train the players with as high coach as possible and maybe suggest the areas that they would benefit from being trained in. However... I strongly believe that the training regime is up to the owner himself/herself. I would not impose a certain training regime on players or they are out, for example. As long as they are being trained in skills that are relevant for their position it's good. Also, if new players show up with better stats, they will most probable take the veterans' spots.

As for the third question I'll leave that with the BB, I don't do strategies for enhancing the customer base for a commercial application. Yes, BB is free, but it's there because it is a business. And campaigns for increasing player base are their responsibility really not NT coach's.

Only 4 people have registered so far. Just a reminder that even though the election runs until Tuesday night, registration closes tonight (Saturday) at midnight.

If the other candidates say anything, I may give them a vote. A democracy is no fun without an opponent.

A little disappointing, indeed, I expected more people around.

Anyway, thanks for the votes to those that plan to give them to me.

Two questions, sort of:

- You've trained an excellent Canadian big man in Letarte. Do you tend to favour inside over outside focus (offensively and defensively) for national teams?

- You scored a big knockout by beating BC Törööö in your first I.1 league game. Without giving too much away, what was your thinking going in tactically, and did you learn anything from the game after the fact?

to answer the 1st question, i think it would depend on the players available to the national team and the opponents strengths and weaknesses. looking at recent losses in the past few months for the national team i think the defending both inside and outside needs to be improved, so hopefully there may be some good players out there to fill this need or hopefully some are training players in this area, as i currently am training inside defending again starting next week with my league team. hopefully that somewhat answers your question.

2nd question. well i think i really got lucky winning that game. BC Torooo is a stronger team than mine. i think he played TIE which hurt him and i changed my defense and offense to tactics that were a little different than my recent games and how i thought it gave my team a better chance to do well against his lineup. my thinking tactically usually goes with what i think i can do to play to my strengths and my opponents weaknesses shown through game tactic trends shown previously. hopefully that answers that question for you too.

thanks for the questions.

Thank you very much to all that decided to give me the vote of confidence, I will try not to disappoint.

As stated before, this will be a tough act to follow. I personally think Canada NT overachieved in previous term, but I will do my best to keep our flag up.

I did not get the access to the team yet, once I have it I will take a close look at stats.

Please let me know about your star players that are not yet included in the team, and let me know of your star draft picks to keep them tracked down for the future. Let me know the current training regime and intentions for the players submitted.

I am a little uneasy about the fact that I have under 1 week until our first game... and it is an official game as well. That will make it difficult to do a lot of juggling with the team. Thankfully, the previous manager did a good job setting up the team but I would still have liked to have couple of weeks to prepare. Because of this, your support and speed of reaction in submitting prospects will be a very important asset.

I would also love if some of the managers with proven record and experience could offer their services for scouting and other little maintenance chores.

I might end up doing what GM-oeuftete did at times, meaning dropping players from the team and bringing them back once scouting is complete. I still need to figure how enthusiasm will work with the new game coming and all, so I will have to get back to you on this one.

Again, thanks for confidence.
