I hope everyone reading this reports this as cheating. Now that the 19 year old age has flipped over, it says these players have sold recently for 50 and 100k. That’s all this player is worth. Sure, those numbers are just an estimate, but his value is nowhere close to 1.8 million. Even if you say he is worth 200k, it’s still a 1.6 million dollar overbid. Worst case scenario, I don’t get my money back, but at least they would adjust the amount of money he gets out of it. He would end up getting 100 or 200k, instead of profiting 1.8 million on a gross overbid. The BBs I’ve talked to said to report this as cheating to the GMs. If enough people do it, this will be taken care of, one way or another.

Are yous ure BBs told you this is "cheating"? Because I don't think so by any means... Okey, it might be a dirty move, but not a cheating move.

I agree with BFaye, you shouldn't need managers to do a work-around to figure out the correct player age during the offseason. It's a bug. I would suggest posting this in the bugs forum.

For BB Devs - If advancing player age is not possible to do in a timely manner during the offseason processing, I would suggest the BB's freeze bidding on the transfer list while the season upgrade is happening.

This problem also affects people shopping for older players where it would be impossible to determine their real age, and DMI would not be zero like it is for new 18yo's.

I don't see how it would be possible to block the transfer market in an efficient way to stop what happened to you

No need to block the TL. A viable workaround would be to generate new draftees as 17/18 yo and then let them age together with all other players.

That said, I like it as it is now. Creates opportunities.

but I feel like we would absolutely get people not aware of that tweak displeased with their 18 y old (draftee or recruit) suddenly being a 19 y old.

Yeah, that's true... Then again - we would already know that from the draft order we submitted (presumably we will see them as 17/18 y.o. there as well). It will take time to get used to the change for sure though. And as you said - could lead to some disappointment.

This, just mark the new draftees with a tag on the TL search page as well as their players' page or change the colors of their name, would probably the easiest way to deal with problems like this moving forward.

Another idea to implement would be something similar to what happens when you fire a player, you get a warning pop-up window, this can be done similarly to the 18, soon-to-be 19 years old as a warning when the off-season processing is happening.

Well remember, this problem affects all players during the offseason. So the 25yo someone just bought could turn out to be 26. It's probably even more difficult to tell their real age when they aren't 18 (where DMI=0)
