The overall perimeter defense in 3-2 zone does not matter that much if there is a weak player in OD. Im not talking about overall bad OD but weak OD on one of the players . Patient constantly tries to find the best mismatch for your player, so if your weakest OD player, your C for example has 7 OD and the reverse patient player has 14 JS and 12 JR then the shooter will try to shoot at the spot/space that your C is guarding. Your C will start commiting fouls and the zone will try to create more double teams, and what many managers dont understand is that this adaptation creates more open shots for your other players so the reverse patient is effective only when u have at least 2 good threats not just one
