Sorry guys, didn't mean to make this into a heated argument.

Same for me. It is an emotional issue. Money is short, that is making people nervous. Me at least...

What fun is debating if it's not heated

The economic changes are pretty big, prob a majority of teams are shocked by the changes and it's difficult to put in perspective compared to other teams.

Heh, if only we could take it down to the hoops instead of slugging it out on the forums when things boil over. :)

Agreed there. If we exclude transfer income and assume a mid-table team (Which means no B3) which finishes 5th so he/she has 3 weeks income-free, it is rather hard to see the nett revenue for the entire seaon. If at all.

Why BB's are not just cutting 40% of attendance? because now at the prices that I had previous I have full stadium but money less....hard to understand this sitem...better would be just reduce attendance for 40% so I can easily follow my arena prices and attendance...now I dont know what to do...expand or rise prices...now I am trying to do both...

I hope you understood what I wanted to say....:D

Yeah but what part do you not understand?

If you would earn $100.000,- when your stadium is sold out, you will get $60.000,-

If your stadium is full, higher your prices or expand. A full stadium has nothing to do with the 40% which is donated to the players.

I was complaining about changes for this season, but:

Yes it is true, that my income is lowered by 45% if I count also TV money.

On the other hand, season ticket holders and new fans mood formula compensate that.

I played home meatch after away loss and still 8836 spectators. It´s great, with this attendance I am +15 000$ this week.

So, It isn´t so bad as it looks before.

Same with me, I sold out my stadium (~16k) after an away loss and now I'm +$100k for the wk so far. I think most people are outraged because 1) they didn't see these changes coming 2) they had a plan, either with training or whatever, that was screwed up by the economic changes and 3) they didn't value the expansion of the stadium as much as they should. I started to plough money into building works after about 1/2 a season, when I realised that it was one of the best ways to build for the future, since there is no upkeep cost like in HT. I bought my trainees this season, sold off some of the dross and then put the rest of my cash into an even bigger stadium, which is going to be the biggest in the country (I think) once it's finished.

People just need to be more flexible and anticipate possible changes rather than be angry that the world of BB scuppered THEIR plans.

It much more!

Lets count together:

Incomes i could have with the old system every week:

$ 250 000 - league game
$ 100 000 - cup game (when every second game I play away game with bot)
$ 100 000 - TV money

$ 450 000 - total income

Incomes with the new system:

$ 150 000 - league game
$ 35 000 - cup game (If the team passes the first 5 rounds)
$ 35 000 - TV money

$ 220 000 - total income
-----------------------------------

As you can see we lose more than 50 %

Well, finally played my first home game.

My first game income is only $2K more than my player salaries. My staff salaries are more than my merchandising income. If I did not have tv revenue, I'd be in the red.

I'm division 2 and I have plenty of room in my arena for more fans. I have 2300 fans.

This is going to be a rough season. Since I'm only breaking even, what is going to happen at the end of this season when my player salaries increase another 30%?

My revenue growth has been about a third of the rate of my player salary growth. If I have to sell my players just to remain solvent, what is the fun in that?

I am curious to know how it is you believe that people should have anticipated the loss of half their revenue.

I am curious to know too. And I'll provide counter points :

1) Oh, we saw the changes coming a mile away. The moment they were announced in fact. We just chose to wait until we could see the effect instead of merely speculating.

2) Losing half your income doesn't dent your plans the slightest?

3) Financial solvency has always been a main goal playing the game. I have always valued the arena expansion highly, and my venue rarely sells out as I take the trouble to finance an expansion everytime I think it is necessary. My arena is already the biggest in my country.

I hate sitting on the fence every week, doing a balancing act between being in the black and in the red. If I am going at a rate of +15k every week in a 16 week season, which means 195k after 13 weeks. If I end up 5th and have the last 3 weeks with a weekly expenditure of 200k without any income, I'll end up losing 600k. So my net profit for the entire season as it is : 600k - 195k = (405k).
