but did BB calculate that way ;)

And you could also say, that run and gun leads to more long rebounds which are easier to get for the offensiv team.

Oh sure it's very important for them as well of course. PG should be the one passing the most though i'd imagine. (That's how i think BB calculate it anyway). SG second most, then SF, and then i assume a little PF and C in there for good measure.

i had a game where i use FCP against a team who uses center as point guards, pf as sf and pg as pf. i lost by 4 points but what i dont really get is that he used a point guard(5'11) as power forward to score inside which he did most of the time and 3 centers as point guard but i didnt get too much steal out of it. is this really right or is their something going on in the system?

Taken from the rules page... under tactics

Fewer possessions in the game also means that scores will be lower, which means that bad teams can stay closer to good ones.

I always consider defense as the deciding factor in the game... and for me, good teams have better defenses, so if you apply the quote into consideration, it might give you an answer that slower pace usually levels yourself to good defensive teams

I disagree with you. Look inside does nothing to improve your offensive rebounding. All the focus does is force your team to take more shots inside.

It is the full court press tactic that seriously reduces your oppoent's rebounding skills on defense but not on offense. That's where you may get confused by looking at match ratings, since the ratings are an average of the two.

Anyhow, the best strategy here is to use players at all positions who have good passing and handling. For example, a centre with atrocious passing and handling skills could easily turn the ball over 15 times against a centre with good outside d. Of course your PG is the most important but if you ignore the rest of your players you will still get burned.

As for why you would use this strategy - just for the reasons outlined above. If all your players have great outside d (especially your PF and C) and your opponent has weak handling/passing on some players, then you can take control of the game via turnovers. You can't get rebounds if you are turning the ball over constantly. It is also important to have good backups and/or players with high stamina.
