Like we said.. it's still a theory. There might not even be a slow down for all we know, but most people do believe there is one. That's all we know.

Well, coincidentally, I have no plans whatsoever to train that kid in SB. He's currently being trained in rebounding (which trains all inside skills except SB), and will be trained a bit in outside skills over next season.

For 5 of my 6 trainees, inside and defense and shot blocking are at about the same level. However, one of my players has strong inside defense and awful shot blocking. He is also the only one of my 6 trainees who routinely gets into foul trouble. Has anyone else experienced this?

To answer the question about shot blocking, I train that for my for trainees and they have combined 12 shot blocks in my latest game (vs. USA on 12/08/07) I have also limited USA under 10 points twice through 3 quarters and have a 60 point lead. Considering the fact I TIE'd and he probably CT'd, I have to say that Shot blocking DOES have an effect on the game.

Yes, jbmcrock, I think that in your players wild attempts to block the ball, he gets some hand and called for the foul.

great example....

i would hope that ALL the training regimes lead to equally better on court performance if combined with a suitable tactic...

in your case this is clearly an example of how your training IS improving certain stats and ratings and in turn the score of your match

i would be disappointed to learn that certain stats if built up correctly didnt influence the match engine and were therefore considered unimportant... i hope its just a case of learning which tactics fit best with which skilsets...

He couldn't possibly play CT, since it's a bot team...
