Totally off topic, but Paul Beirne is the name of the guy that is the is the head of Toronto FC, the MLS franchise. If his name was Brian Burke or Brian Colangelo you'd have a bunch of buyers.

Wow, single position training 'til they are about 26?? That's a definite long-term commitment! Good luck ;)

Here's another that has just been saved from retirement. Same time frame as Beirne when hitting the transfer list. Hopefully somebody in Canada is willing to purchase him. The other Canadian I saved recently did not get purchased by a Canadian, but is being trained by a top team in Serbia.

Hello Everyone!

I just came to thank you for this wonderful scrimmage played just few hour ago, it was pretty interesting and let us both teams, think more about our defects, our straights and our future line up.

Canada has a really good team, Colombia was expecting a big lost against you guys... but, the result was different and surprising at the same time.

Hope to see you again in a future Tournament match, and for real it will be much more interesting and competitive.

Best regards,

DON-Juan
NT-Colombia's Coach.

He's not the head of Toronto FC mate. Brian Burke and Brian Colangelo are general managers. Our general manager is Mo Johnson.

Paul Bierne is director of business operations for TFC. He's co-general manager with Mo Johnson. (Basically, Johnson does the soccer operations side of the GM work, Bierne does the business stuff). Not that any of this matters.

However he is not head of TFC and co-general manager. Johnson has more responsibility regardless of if his work is footy related or not. Anyway we're a bit off topic here lol.
