I like your post, however I will make it much more simple. From my point of view, I must take 2 things into account :

1) Having lost both work AND home in october (no worries, found new ones) I'll have much trouble this month : maybe I'll be stuck 1 week without internet connection, or worse ... Selling now allowed me to put lineups in advance without having to worry about results. Just tanking up and giving my trainees training is what matters most, and this is something that can be done without logging in every day.

2) I should have sold sooner, since an old principle of mine is to never keep players above 32 years. But playing B3 was appealing, and I really had a veeery nice team, able to defeat the best one in Belgium. Unfortunately I had some trouble with injuries, and also took a couple of strategically bad decisions and I came up empty handed. From the very beginning of this season I had already decided to sell the oldest players as soon as that point was reached.

I must confess that selling Vaes at once wasn't the best decision in my BB career, but I have already discussed the matter with Joe.

E.g. Claeys had lost 2 levels of inside defense the week before the Amenra cup game, that fact alone would have changed the final outcome, so seriously, never ever I'll keep players above 32 :)

This and that makes my decision valid, I would have never been able to make a serious run for the chmapionship anyway.

Yet again, I am sorry for having Vaes in such a disastrous GS.

to be fair, when i look at what is going on, i must say things are going in Joe's favor again.

Normally when training, you need to fight hard to stay in the division. However, after this and next season, he'll once again be ready to challenge for the top spot in Belgium. Mizu and especially Ventola need to retool. Spartans are tanking. The interesting option here will be Obira. But other than Obira and Mizu, i don't expect Joe to have a whole lot of opposition and we all know that once Joe gets a title, he usually goes on a streak.

So all in all, i think Joe welcomes Dartreb decision (with maybe the exclusion of the GS of Vaes) But with a bitt of luck his GS will go up fast enough.

@ Dartreb: did your trainer have career extension option? i have noticed that with that option, players tend not to lose skills till the end of the age 34 season. considering the age of your team, it could have been an option for your team. (i have kept several players till 33/34 and seen little decline with that option)

There's no point in focusing on mistakes and let regrets cloud the judgement. I have so many wins that I can't get relegated this season, I will put that at good use to save loads of cash and buy reinforcement later on.

Judging from your last sales, you already have a nice load of cash, i'm guessing

Anyway, i was glad to see that selling players ranging from 32 to 34 yr old can still bring in a nice load of cash.
This makes me at ease knowing i can keep my players until 32 at least, so i won't have to buy any expensive players soon. Which is all the better, because if there's one thing i can't say, it's that i'm having lots of cash

But the current training of my 2 prospects gives me a lot satisfaction, i didn't know training young players could be so much fun, as they're steadily improving with each week that passes by

I was amazed to see how well I sold my older players ... that was just before being amazed to see how much I had to spend on mediocre quality replacements.

The Center I was targetting for approx. 2.8 M went for over 4, and the one I had for 2 M is only worth 1 M.

Yes, selling is good indeed, but buying is very bad, and therefore it is extremely interesting to buy players in order to train them. I bought Vaes when he was 23 years old for 1.2 M, sold him at 32 for 3.3 ; in the meantime of course I had to train him, but I also had 3 seasons with a NT player I didn't have to train, performing very well and whose wages were minimal thanks to merchandising.

In this game I like nothing better than friday when I can check if my little birds did progress xD

I am making a wild guess now,

As some of you may know at the start of the next season buzzerbeater will introduce an extra tax on teams with a lot of cash.
The main problem is none knows how much the GM'S consider a lot of cash (5 mio? , 10 mio? or even more or less)

Well managers with a lot of cash will anticipate this naturally and will invest their money, this will lead to an explosion on the market, if you think players cost a lot don't wait to buy new ones at the end of the season because prices may double or even more.

So what do you guys think about this?

Personally I think buzzerbeater is unfair at the moment, teams that signed up earlier than other will always have an advantage due to their money reserves. BB may have detected this but I don't think this tax will be a solution.

Maybe a solution would be like in other games restarting the whole game at 0?
The whole game get's reset, I know Utopia is really new but this hasn't really helped the game.
I believe that like this the user numbers will rise again significantly (maybe even more with some commercials)

Resetting the whole game is a good thing to lose their oldest supporters, and that will be a huge amount of people. I wouldn't start from scratch again right now.

Putting a tax on older teams is also irrelevant. You have very old teams that remain stuck in the lower leagues, as well as newer ones who can promote really quick.

Sure, being the best manager in the world won't lead you to a BBBL title but this is part of the challenge : balance training and results, getting the best out of limited cash reserves. I really enjoyed making my D.3 into a serious BBBL side, but I wouldn't do it again.

I feel slightly concerned about the tax on cash reserves (not that I have much) because that won't stop current inflation. Good players are expensive because too little teams are training players, forcing teams to empty their cash reserves will even make the price of player rise again due to many teams willing to buy good players for their extra money. If they don't find any, they'll keep their cash reserves up and pay the tax until they find a suitable one, I don't really understand how that should lower the players' price.

First, Well we will see how big it will influence the market but I still guess the prices will jump

Second, I can't say much as WOW, you are rebuilding and kicking out the current best team in Belgium in the tournament. you went all-in and succeeded. Congratulations
Statistically I would like to say AmenRa has 200k salary more than Vottem, I know it's not about salary but such a big differential should mean that AmenRa is way stronger than Vottem, I think Joe never fails to surprise us :)

Final: Paros - Vottem, I will go with Vottem
