wondering why manhattan played his best lineup against me, when he has you on the road and a dII team in the cup.

3 OT games is pretty awesome. I was getting ready for the national broadcast of Stogey's Head Explodes, but I think that may have to wait.

I'm eagerly awaiting seeing how I increased my defense but had 106 points scored against me. That doesn't even happen in PL games, off the top of my head.

This only blocks deflation on elite player. It doesn't affect deflation on Anczarski types.

We don't care about the .00001 % of the BB population that plays in B3. We want to be able to see the results of our training reflected in our sales prices.

Not to beat a dead horse, but I agree it won't affect Anczarski types. The difference is I don't think it should. Anczarski shouldn't be an elite player with those skills (well, he's not anyway, but he shouldn't even be as close as he is)... hell, we have 22yo's with better skills than that. I actually think the prices he's getting are about right, the issue is that there should be many significantly better *and* more desirable players than him out there. There aren't many because top end players become less valuable since their salaries are generally unrealistic and unsustainable.

Anyway, almost pulled that off vs Ice. Oh well... rough week for my mountain goats.

Here's another way to look at my main problem... Imagine plotting "player performance" on that x-axis of a graph with "player value" on the y-axis. This could be bb-rating and TL price, but doesn't have to be. And for simplicity, let's imagine it only for centers. So, what does the graph look like? I think (without having actually done it, but based on lots of evidence), it's an inverted-U. That means that at some point, making a player better makes him less valuable. I challenge you (I'm not sure who I'm arguing with, so "you" here means the person I'm imagining angrily shaking my fist at) to find any league in any sport in any country that would have an inverted-U shaped plot here. Every sport I can think of or imagine has a monotonically increasing trend (linear, non-linear, whatever, but never with value decreasing as ability increases).
