I guess the secret is now well out that there is a 5/5 A+ 18 year old in this draft. This is the season when the ABBL finally gets a NT quality million dollar draft pick. I assume both Bobby Locke has found him and are dong everything he can do to get him. Interesting move to CT Whitebeard and it nearly came off. I am sure Aussie Pride would have been in heaven if it had worked.
Whitebeard has a very hard road ahead of him this season. Games against Urmummas medium, away against West Indies (should be easy unless they are doing something funny to avoid relegation) but then Koopasaurus who have one of the top four teams in the league and have been known to both make a massive splurge at the end of the season and to randomly crunch time games. Whitebeard can't afford a loss or Aussie Pride will grab home court advantage.
Whitebeard is 115 ahead on PD but even though Aussie Pride has on paper hard games against Monkey Business, away at both Pancakes with Jam and Cream and Awesome^.- looking at their rosters and records he could be racking up some big wins and maybe, just maybe close that gap especially if there are some season ending sales from teams that already feel safe which there have been most seasons recently.
If Whitebeard wins his reward will be taking on Urmummas or me probably not the easiest first round game for the top seed, then he gets to take on Koopasaurus or Guanzheng Goldfish the number two and three ranked teams in the nation. Meanwhile I predict Aussie will be playing TIE and winning by 30.
My money is still on Whitebeard but this is no free gift this season.
