Play-offs day 1 :

In the BBBL, there wasn't much of a surprise, with all home teams winning their game. In the blue conference both Amenra and boes managed to do so while saving their TS, and will face each other in the conference final.

So will Cowboys and Mizu Arlon in the red one. If the cowboys had a walk in the park facing a TS-depleted Spartans team, the things were much more tense at Arlon. The home team took risks by only fielding 5 players, denying them a possible replacement in case of foulplay or injury. Things went into OT, but they finally prevailed. Arlon, still plagued by Asli's injury, are almost playing without a bench since the departure og estonian PG Kruusamaë.

For the play-downs, bavi scores a first win against FTA with superior enthusiasm, while Canin race to an easy win against the Dragons who kept their best players, as well as sufficient TS, in reserve. Things are far from being over yet !

In the lower divisions, there's not much to tell about. Favourites won their first play-off game with ease, with the notable exception of BC Meirke in II.3. Despite cruising to an impressive display if 21 - 1 over the regular season, they lost the semi to a surprising Star Fly team. Promotion in II.3 then remains wide open, with Insane Hangtime as new favourites, if they can get past RSC Eagles, a team that was extremely active on the transfer window just before the play-off start.

Did someone know how it works with the payment of salaries ? For example, if we go for a game 3 in the PD, would we pay a entire additional salary for next week while a win in two games affored to pay only one week salary ?

Good report, I was just trying to type something when that popped up :)

A tribute to Royal Canin victory :

(And yes, as I was student we listened to this kind of things - beer helped).

Gratz to Bradok, I'm sure that next season will bem uch more easier for him. This seasons he managed to escape an extremely tight conference with a disastrous start, that's unlikely to happen next season with his current squad.

As for FTA, it will be tight and once again the "injury gods" have been hard on his back. Bavi have HCA, but FTA has a better TS. What a stressful game ahead for both managers !

In the D.2, mric's dismissal is quite surprising. A second favourite exiting after BC Meirke ... Neutra has a fine "home-made" squad, but will it be enough to stop Wolves' armada ? In II.3 the situation is more confused than ever ... And in II.4, after the surprise last season, the two favourites Estrellas Absurdas and Ventola will battle for a BBBL spot. And I really hope they will land in the other conference :p

it's a shame for Obira. he had a good team and should have ended higher. However, many things can go wrong, and someone has to be demoted at the end of the season.

It's sad to see Obira go down. First he frees up Money for Ballaert, but misses out on him because a cheating Belgium team transfered cash to a team to by Ballaert. Then, when the team gets banned, Obira gets beaten to Ballaert again. This time by Tienen. he demotes because he sold a player waiting to get Ballaert to train him for the NT.

Then, he gets Dirnberger. Sacrifices a lot for his training and finally gets that superstar Nt player which he always wanted. He's got a decent team build, but again, some things go wrong for him. he missed out on Nic Dufer, a borderline NT player.

ow and for the record: The cheater that robbed Obira from Ballaert, also attempted to destroy the team that he was opposing in the Play-downs, but failed to do so.

I really feel for Obira. he hasn't had an easy BBBL life and just doesn't seem to get any breaks. I really hope that he'll come back to the BBBL soon and that he'll then get some good breaks, because if there is any team i really feel compassion for, It's Obira.

i really hope he does cash in on the players he is selling and then he'll be able to rebuild with a better team.

R~

Thanks for the nice comment.
But we will come back.....And someday we want the title.
The biggest problem has always been the money !

See you all back soon in BBBL

Thanks, i indeed suffer a awfull strat last season... I hope to have a more peacefull season next year, but there is a lot of rendom things that can make your season a nightmare like this one for Obira... Next season i will have to replace my spanish player and it will be really hard to fiénd someone that strong with the same salary so i m still expecting a difficult start nEXT YEAR.
