I agree with u but upsyndrome accomplished something that no one else has done either (winning a triplet of dual cups consectively). I am pretty sure if he wanted to stay somewhat competitive in nbba after those 3 seasons instead of purposely tanked, he could.

While we're trading ERG stats, I just realized that the Bananahorns are 0-8 all-time versus ERG, dating back to season 19. Not a huge sample size, but I'm guessing that's my worst record against any other manager in Buzzerbeater.

Another interesting ERG stat is that coach Hassan Donnelly has stepped on a Banana peel 8 times and yet never slipped and fell!

Significantly better than a similar stat involving Sideshow Bob and rakes.

Congratulations on winning the Cup.

I just can't find the formula to take on your boys. Blowing me out in the fourth quarter in our last two games is particularly troublesome. You've got a great team -- best of luck the rest of the season!

Congrats AZ Cacti on getting the Gold CUP and completing your USA trophy set. Also hope you both enjoyed the hospitality at the Dog Pound.

in my list of excuses why i lost the game, playing on that miserable court is at the top of the list. poorly lit, baskets uneven, a dismal crowd more interested in preening for themselves than watching high-caliber basketball (something they haven't seen for years), plus a drum-and-bugle corp from a local middle school as halftime entertainment? A pre-game spread of quarters to a vending machine in the hallway? Showers that only dribbled out a miserable stream of cold water?

second on my list: stupid coaching. i have been playing this game too long to be learning fundamentals. I set a starting five, but left the rest of the lineup blank -- you know, not wanting to restrict "Let Coach Decide" about substitutions. For reasons I am beginning to see, my team does not match up well against the Cacti, and i thought letting the AI make court-side decisions would be worth a shot. What happened instead was the coach, unless forced by fouls, refused to even consider changing the lineup. Where I had put blanks, he saw nothing. I think this partially accounts for that fourth quarter collapse and certainly for a miserable distribution of minutes for the squad.

All kidding aside, the Cacti were going to win, regardless, because over the past several seasons i have tried everything and produced the same result. Now i have just one more notch for another failed tactic.

Dunkface's starting 5 avg age = 34.6
Hassan's starting 5 avg age = 34.2

When we heard you guys were coming, we decided to shift all of the funding into getting automated wheelchairs, oxygen masks, and extra medical staff waiting in the hallway . You should be thanking me for worrying about the health of your team than the other meaningless basketball related stuffs. :)

Oh, the blank lineup. I stopped using it so long ago that I forget it exists. :)

Thanks a bunch guys! I don't think the final score was very indicative of how closely matched our teams are but having more rested guys and that +1 GDP helped a lot.

This was probably my last chance to win a Cup with this group as I'll be getting younger at a couple positions at some point next year and probably won't have as good of a roster.

Feels good to get that monkey off my back! Now GL to everyone in the chase for the league trophy (and relegation series victories)!

Of course that vending machine has filet mignon and bottles of 1971 Dom. What I found funny is that the final did NOT sell out. I think what happened is the Guards fan base didn't get their unemployment checks in on time. That or Bb crowds are getting wise to the staid predictable nature of the higher levels.

Regarding the entertainment at intermission you could have had https://youtu.be/lYOc6kOG5f0 or https://youtu.be/eX64a7pXnFw or even https://youtu.be/eynNJufKK2Q hell the little Generals marching band was even available and since any championship game halftime must include the inclusion of a geriatric outfit from those days of yore we would have had a lil something for ya https://youtu.be/MrRVW-p8SJ8 but no, because you bastards are cheap.

my fair to middling ass was lucky to get far as I got, though I probably get the award once again for the most heart wrenching exit, let's see 25 seasons in and my cup exits include 2 cases of getting Ft'd after time expired. A regular buzzer beater. Several other close losses and a double or collapse a few seasons back to the Cacti which was the springboard to their first final four.

Well time for the highlight video to be put together, and the following should be used to score the Cacti triumph. Or at the very least the images symbolically match https://youtu.be/F1uSZnlPsvg
