Alright, Clark is most likely gone.
The addition of Stevie looks mediocre but his potential looks promising. However, the recent acquisition of Sidre Castrofeito, the outstanding flash of potential that Paul Wiles and Matthew Craven has shown at the 4-5 spots, and the very fact that I still have Francisco Candia because no one decided to purchase him to relieve me of his cap hit this season, makes this a VERY, VERY crowded frontcourt. Not to mention that Stevie has another Ocampo to deal with, his brother-from-anotha-motha, Robert.
Robert looks to have a skill set that I am absolutely salivating over and makes the idea of letting Francisco Candia just hit the streets even easier. I have absolutely no issue with training bigs but the problem I do have is I still have no backcourt.
Keepers:
Sidre Castrofeito - short term answer while I train; excellent passer/rebounder, makes for a good transition
Paul Wiles - shown plenty of moments throughout Season 14 of becoming a star
Matthew Craven - excellent backup option, unafraid to snag the loose ball; needs to be a more consistent shooter or passer
Robert Ocampo - young, HoF potential, excellent starting skill set .... he's the future while Wiles is being groomed for SF
Gone
Francisco Candia - age & salary ... combined with my division, he'll possibly dominate but I need to do this the right way
Stevie Ocampo - a too crowded front court makes for an early exit, he'll be hitting the free agency wire very soon
Clark Coley - Not a good prospect, has a weak starting skill set, his chances are slim to none that he'll stick.
Fringe
Lowell Webber - Listed as a SF but at 6'11" and a mediocre skill set, doesn't give me much advantage at this position. Still he is the better option
Titus Harvey - Have had Harvey for two or three seasons now and never really shown me much other than he's a solid backup plan
Teddy Titus - a mid-season switch to starting 2 proved fruitless, excellent off the bench, nothing more
Lawrence Coyle - stuck around this long, has a solid set of skills but never shows me much to keep him as a starter; good enough to be a fill-in starter anywhere between 2 to 4 games but nothing more.
Clinton Cantrell - his skill set does not belong in Div III. Excellent passer, nothing more. Could never get his shot going and without a true backup, his numbers declined. Moved to SG late in the season to allow new acquisition Drzislav Radeka playing time and to see if the new offense would flow any better with Vernon Partridge having moved onto greener pastures.
