am i wrong or did bb loose a few thousand teams this week?
if so, thats a big impact on economy or thursdays will be flooded with players???

This thread started when there were tons of good players on the market with tons of offers coming from day traders. I asked when the taxation should be introduced cause I was bored to see easy speculation on the market.
99% of people is happy about this new sistem, now we can really see who is a good manager; it's more funny to try to make a great championship with few money in the pocket instead of having millions and offer to every single player that seems strong.
As far as I know the BBs are monitoring the economy and probably other changes will be done in the future, in any case everyone that wants to have coach lvl 10 and 3 national player in Vth division is not a good manager. At the end, pls don't tell that the taxes are destroying the profits of the teams cause this is not true, I think I will not buy or sell anyone until the end of this season, this is a limitation (in my opinion not so strong) of people that waste the time making offers for all the day.

Will there be a different tax for drafted players? Or still the 20% tax?

ofcourse the effect is reduced by having fees for selling (the sooner, the higher the fee) so buying for 80k and selling for 100k will get you a loss now...

ofcourse daytraders ask too much.... wait....do they? hm, why is anyone buying then. nobody is forced to buy, if daytraders REALY ask too much it would be VEY easy for one to find a similar player for much less. So is it possible to ask too much? yes! is it likely to get too much? very unlikely. One can try, but do know players cost about 3k to 4k per player, and if you keep a bunch and have to wait until someone buys the guys for too much, it might have cost you too much as wel, so I believe this levels out in the end...
The fact daytraders can profit is that players sell their players too cheap, and if a daytrader can buy him too cheap, he can make profit by selling him normal, or high prize, I can't believe he would sell him at abnormal prizes... I tried it, won't work. ;)
So who's fault is it? I'd say the players that sell too cheap! ;þ.
No, we have 3 parties, the seller sells to cheap, the DT buys too cheap and sells too high, and the 3rth party pays too much... so don't point fingers at only 1 party here.

So let's stick with grey, DT is there, must be there and has to stay, just level out the effect with some mechanisms, the fees for selling is a first good step... I strongly believe that given time, BB will get to a nice equilibrium.
In the meantime the ones that are most fanatic with the game, profit much, they'll end up in high leagues, where they would end up after a while anyway given their devotion, it only goes much much faster now...

To end: everyone complaining has seen how it's done, so instead of whining about it, go on and try it yourself, if you're lucky, you'll make some profit, in the least case you'll annoy those DT-ers by raising the prises they need to bid, and thereby lower their profit. ;)
Should you loose money doing it (also possible!) it means it's not that easy to win tons of $ afterall...

Not for players already drafted, who are seeing a % deducted.

Taking an agent's % on drafted players is just a tax on top of the cost to scout, bit overkill maybe?

Only the last phrase... Until now it was more than easy, you buy a mediocre player and you put an higher basis price, that's all. I didn't because I think this is a basketball game, because I've to work and because I think is not fair to get money "stealing" from noobs. When I saw that a player wasn't so good for my team I've re-sold him and every time I make some $.

This is supposed to be a basketball simulation... Well, now picture this: Let's say, Kevin Garnett is transfered from Boston to Chicago for 30 million dollars... 3 days later, he is transfered to Detroit for 35... Another 3 days after that, he's sold to Milwaukee for 40 millions... Realistic??? I don't think so...

I don't have problems with someone having a lot of money, but I do with daytrading... It's ugly to see your transfer record... You can buy a player, train him for some time and then sell him... That's more realistic...

And just as GMs like to say, BuzzerBeater is a long term game... So, why would someone try to get rich over night??? That's not even fun... You don't have a team, you have a players-market... I come, see your players, OK, I like that one with the blue eyes, I'll take him... It just doesn't seem right...

Your whole post is kind off irrelevant, since everyone knows what DT's are doing. A few even mentioned that you even need a bit of skill for daytrading. I even pointed out that when daytraders are there, there is no possibilty to get a cheap buy, because daytraders will pick that player, buy it and sell it for more. So nobody says something about daytraders asking to much.

It's just total nonsense to say 'try it yourself'. Lets compare that to the reality with a small example. Cocaine dealers are making millions of dealing. Almost everyone agrees that dealing isn't right, but still everyone knows it's happening. Don't say everyone should just accept that and try cocaine dealing themselves, because you will be rich when you are a good dealer, but you will be poor when you aren't a good dealer and you will go to jail etc. So 'try it yourself' is just nonsense.

So is comparing day trading to selling coke. I see where you're going here (and I don't necessarily disagree), but that's not really a fair analogy.
