we made a change... let us know if the problem still happens... it might require a deletion of cookies before the change takes effect, so please clear your cookies.

Just an update for you Forrest.

I deleted my cookies and have been using the site for about 2 days now and i have not being logged out. So far it looks like whatever you did is working. As the problem was random i could be just having a good run, ill let you know if the problem continues.

I have had this very same problem since I started using this new site. It logs me out randomly quite often and sometimes I even cannot log in again unless I delete cookies first.

Last time i got logged out just about 5 minutes ago when I opened different pages to multiple tabs.

I only experience this at home using Opera 10. At work everything seems to be working ok.

Edit:
Sometimes Opera gives me "Connection closed by remote server" error message when I try to open some page in Buzzerbeater. When I hit back and open that very same page again, everything works. Last time I got this message was a second ago when I tried to post this message.

so have you been getting a different error message in the last few days? and you were getting logged out earlier but not anymore.. is that what I'm reading into your message. I did do something that seems to have fixed one problem.. your other problem doesn't sound like logging out at all.

I was getting logged out much more often earlier but I still get sometimes. Two times today. Both times I opened many tabs in short time.

And that "connection closed by remote server" error has been always the same. Maybe this is another matter because everything works ok when I hit back button and open page again. I just tought maybe this has to do something with this logout problem since both started happening when new site launched.

when you get logged out can you go in opera to
Tools > Preferences > Advanced > Cookies
and tell me what cookies you have in buzzerbeater.com domain?

specifically I am interested in the state of ASPXAUTH2 cookie, and what its expiration time is, or whether it exists.

Also how many total cookies you appear to have from buzzerbeater.com

Hmm, it seems I can get myself logged out every single time I open schedule page and open boxscore pages to +10 tabs. I just did so again and i found myself logged out.

www.buzzerbeater.com (13 cookies, most of them "match/xxx..") and buzzerbeater.com (5 cookies). I cannot find that ASPXAUTH2 cookie tough.

okay i think you can notice that when you are logged in you will find an aspxauth2 cookie? correct?

so what is happening is that opera has an upper limit on the number on the number of cookies you can have or something, and opening up all those tabs is creating a lot of cookies, and at some point the aspxauth2 cookie gets bumped off because it is the oldest (you create it when you login), and once its gone you are logged out.

okay yes, I think this might be going on with some of these logout issues, i can reproduce this now. I will try to think of a workaround for this, but until then, just don't open a million tabs, or probably don't even click on a lot of pages really quickly.
