look at this player (840217) last final game stats and then look at half-final mach stats.... after that look at ratings... no sense no??? both maches he played 26minutes...

when a guy plays for very few minutes, can he affect the game? yes.

when a guy plays a lot of minutes, can he affect the game? yes.

a guy who comes in to a game and stinks will not get a great rating. logical? yes.

rate the guy on how he contributed... this tells me that a guy who came in for very few minutes but made a high percentage of his shots or had a slew of rebounds had a nice contribution to the game. The high rating for that game is indicative. Start him in the next game and see his rating fall? he doesn't have the skill to start. Maybe he isn't a starter, but he played well in limited minutes.

There are professional NBA players who are great at this, he can be called a sparkplug or high energy player in slang.
