Any further insight on this?

I've always played LI to pretty good success but mixed it up in a big game, played LP, and came away with a big win. However, I also had lower team ratings.

My big men have 7+ HD and PS so are pretty good in that department, is it possible that LP could be better in certain situations? Maybe when your opponent is great at OD but quite poor ID? More passes taken on the inside?

I'd appreciate any thoughts ASAP! lol

I have made the experience that indeed, good passing favors slow tactics. And since that is true for all positions, aven PFs and Cs who don't contribute to the Offensive Flow rating, I'd agree that Low Post might be better for you in that case. That's particularly true against opponents with only one good insie defender - your covered player can simply pass the rock to his partner in the paint.

Great, thanks for the swift reply. I'll happily take the risk now.

Would you consider playing a PG at SF with LP as he will likely dish the ball instead of shooting, and therefore his IS is less important as in LI? - I'm just considering the need for extra OD and potentially playing a 3-2.

From what I understand, low post tends to use SF less offensively than look inside, so high passing at that position would certainly help with getting more assists to your big men. But I wouldn’t sacrifice passing at PG to do that. Or if you were to go in another direction, it might not hurt to have three guys than can score inside on the court against an OD heavy team.

Maybe we should both just 'let coach decide'

It's what all the cool (and cowardly) kids do now-a-days. I'm happy to confess myself one of them..

Agree 100%, the main difference is the pace and all that involves.
