I think the problem is how all-stars are selected.

What about the selection being made by the users competing in each league? Each user could choose up to 3 players per position with points linked to that choice (like this...my top listed PG gets 5 points, the 2nd gets 3 and the 3rd gets 1 point...same to other positions)...The top 2 voted at each position would make the roster...

Fixed :)

I also agree that the all star game is worthless, but I would rather it that way than if it had serious implication on income. I always rest some of my starters in league games to save them for cup games during my cup run and that impacts on how many of my players get voted into the all star game. If it was more important for me financially to get as many players as possible into the all star game I don't think I would do this, and wouldn't mind being out of the cup early. This taking away the importance of the cup.

IMO I don't think they should change anything with the All Star game, it's fine how it is. It is after all just a bit of fun.

i think the most worthwile thing about it is that it is a break in the normal routine, it makes managers think about how they manage minutes in that week, how they run training and how they will look after their finances - more skill is needed than in a normal week

i think it is fun even though we got smashed because an injured player was selected and got owned by his opponents

This is a good idea!

Two friendly matches during all-star week is a wonderful idea. As a superstar-filled team, I like the All-Star week, it's fun seeing 7 of my guys playing on the "All-Star" team but I would definitely like the extra 48 to work with. Not only that, but this week I got screwed over because of a walkover and my players only got 43 minutes instead of the 48 they should get.

that's right!

BUT
the Allstar-Game is totally unintersting!

If we look at the RL-Basketball, than we understand, why in an online game it's unintersting, boring,...

The most intersting things in All-Star-Games are Dunking, Alley-Ops, ... -- but online an Alley-Oop is not real intersting for me.

Or do you watch games in replay, just for seeing an Alley-Oop one more time??
