Player Salaries are probably lower than other leagues due to my own player salary ($67,000) & all the newcomers...

League Averages from Last Week
Expenses Revenue
Player Salaries: $ 87 938 Attendance: $ 83 392
Staff Salaries: $ 50 633 Merchandise: $ 22 955
Scouting: $ 13 333 TV Contract: $ 65 899
Total: $ 151 904 Total: $ 172 246
League Average Net Income: $ 20 342

This is my second season in DIV., and I may have a chance to promote but its pretty doubtful. There are quite a few active teams in my league who really seem to train well...

Nice work Eminence.

I had a tough road loss. I believe my opponents higher enthusiasm coupled with HCA was just too much to handle. I wonder if its just good on principle to tie the first week to build enthusiasm and take a loss or two. standing 1-1 with only 5 enthusiasm for my next game is not where i want to be.

Wowzers! Just had my first home game, and I made a whopping $138,000! That's about 40-42K more than I was making last season, and the best part is that all of my arena was sold out, so there's still room for more cash inflow. My merchandising also jumped to 24K, which is really good compared to the 16K I was used to last season.

And the best part? I'm making approximately 50 K extra this season per week compared to last season, but only paying an extra 11K than last season. And the best thing of all? I'm 2-0 and I feel like I'll make 3rd seed playoffs by the end of the season.

Yep, got to make sure to manage that enthusiasm, got mine up to 8 already, hopefully it's enough to get me by a D.III opponent on the road in the cup without a CT. But we'll see, anyways it doesn't look as if anyone else in my league is really managing theirs either so I could have an easy middle of the season while the enthusiasm starts to balance a bit more.

Well I'm not sure whether you should just assume that you need to TIE for the first week to get it up. In my case, I knew I wouldn't be able to beat my opponent this week unless I Normaled (I TIE'd the first match) and so I did and I somehow got the win out.

It helps that my first Cup opponent is a bot team so I can up my enthusiasm for the next week during my Cup game =).

2-0 for the first time in D.IV =D

Yep, just got to take advantage of all chances to TIE. And then with a higher enthusiasm it becomes easier to TIE. Kind of a nice little snow ball effect, and congrats on the 2-0.

I dont usually TIE until the last few weeks of the season to get enthusiasm up for the playoffs... I guess part of the reason is I dont need to until the playoffs cuz the rest of my league doesnt really set enthusiasm and so I beat them easily for the most part.

I guess if you are middle to low in your division then TIE would be good but for me right now, I dont think it matter.

I bet alot of you guys will say I am wrong or something, but just my opinion :)

I think in hindsight, the best approach for me to take would have been to TIE first game at home for enthusiasm boost. Then normal to try to win on the road against an equal enthusiasm player. What is not evident in the box score is with a 1:30 left we were about dead even. Many free throws later through fouling, he took the 10 point lead.

But its a learning process. I'll try to pick my battles during the season. My primary goal this season is to not relegate.
