I saw St. John's play a couple of time...and despite having a pretty good RPI, they aren't that good a team. Certainly not an Elite 8 team...IMHO.

St. Johns is going to have a great recruiting class next year. #2 in the country.

From our experience on the west coast, coach Lavin has always been able to recruit well, its developing the players and getting them to play consistently that he came up short on. But best of luck to him...

Jeremy Lamb stepped up early in the second and Butler couldn't make any shots.

Ugly, ugly game.

First half, I believe Butler only shot 18%, which is the 2nd lowest half FG% for the history of the tournament.

Yeah, Butler didn't have anything inside....they just kept trying to shoot over UConn. Hard to win that way, especially when UConn can extend their defense out to the 3 pt line.
