great stuff. I thought the only competition I would have is in the Great 8 but the San Diego Makos put up a good fight. Coal Miners good pick up the inside should be fortified I no we are going to have a good game against each other and congrats on beating a IV player in the cup last week. Tomorrow game day the connect button is a in-game chat system. Always thought it was a spam link. Anyway if I can be online I'll inform you on how my game going and I'd like it if you all tell my how yours is going as well

It was a move I made to help give my main PF some help so I looked for a decent one until my developing one comes around in skills. But my new SF an SG are paying off well so my inside an outside attack is more balanced this season.

I finally got to look at that. They have contributed nicely I thought about this for a while. The SF is a total package. His fulls up the score board. I have a question? Why do young managers splurge on average player? I did that even when I started out. I don't have an idea. I look at the forums and still did it. The money I could have.

I have seen to many teams go in the red an the game sells of there top players an then they basically start all over with nothing. I basically go after players to help me get to the next stage then hope my youth makes me alil money

That what I realized late last season. I hope WWIAFTM manager realizes it because I hate to look at the outrageous price of that 19 y/o starter he just bought. I would tell him but that not an easy thing to do.

I'm right there with you on that one Murl, the salary is decent for a 19 y/o, but the potiential is just awful, shouldn't have paid half the price for him. But live and learn I guess. I still overspend for players too, but I go on the potiential a lot, and try to fill out the skills of the players I'm replacing.

Actually, potential is somewhat overrated until Div3 or so. Until you can swing multiple $20k salary players on your team, what does potential matter?

You need a high level trainer and multiple dedicated seasons to make a hall of famer worth it. In div4 or div5, the time and $$ are better spent growing the arena or getting some $10k salary players. Even a benchwarmer can hit $10kup salary before capping so don't hang up on potential.

If you even manage to max the potential, you wont be able to afford the player! :)

+1 to both of you because if you get a player with a great salary like Darren Schillings(East Coast Hurricanes) or Ray Jefferson(00News) you can have them for a long time and they will be good back up or could possible start in DIII. with good training. If you get them that young you wanna keep them for up to six season unless you plan to sell them early.
edited will explain other view later.

The potential that you get should be a factor because you don't want to lose training on sucker-ish players. The players that are used as scrubs should not cost over 100k unless he is a scrub with a 7k salary or better other than that he should be on the team already.

That is true but salary can be misleading also. You have to look at the position an the level of his skill for that position. Ive seen a number of players that I wouldn't even give a second glance.

That true also I try to find the most well rounded players I can. If a player has two skill that are atrocious I still might get them because they can always be trained up against the bottom half of the League. That why I never have the same line-ups and always give different looks to different teams.

While I do agree that potiential is a little overrated I think that if your going young, your almost definately going to train hi up which seemed to be the startegy there, and without knowing the overrall skill of the player I think salary is a decent gauge if the player is well all around then he might have been an ok purchase. Honestly I go for people with high offensive stats with decent defensive stats, I think that's shown in the way a lot of my game go. It's all about how a player fits in your system in the end though.
