biggest problem is salary in most cases.

In terms of guards, you'll be looking at 120k minimum. one player like that is doable in II, but you have to watch his minutes, which makes it hard.

in terms of C's, you'r looking at minimum tripple 16's with SB 10 (194k) or quadruple 15's (182k) and i'm not considering any secundairies in those calculations.

a top II team can carry 400 to 450k salary.

a C in II is barely doable. in III, it's consumes nearly your entire economy... So having dedicated managers help. But at some point, they are going to have to go to a II or BBBL team, because they can't keep up salary wise.

For SF's, you could make on hell of an SF for 100k or even a bitt lower (HA and Dr don't cost alot but make SF's alot stronger) but making SF's takes alot of time and need alot of changing of training... ( one week they are PG's, next week they are C's, ... isn't easy to do).

Anyhow, i've got one heck of a team. Yesterday's game was an eye opener aswell, since i've discovered some strange things that i'll be addressing in the scrimmages aswell to see if it would confirm my theory or not ( i can't write em down here, since it would give away to much info on the NT players skills and that as both for the NT and as NT coaches responsibility, it is better that they are known to an as little ammount of people as possible).

And altho i like being NT coach, i'm already part of the NT staff for 7 seasons and doing my 5th as NT head coach. I can't remain the coach forever... At some point, someone else will be NT coach. The community gets to decide on things. So it all depends if they'll want me back again after this term.

But that is stuff for the end of season 18 :P first, i gotta make the most out of the remaining season and the consolation tourney next season.

true, but I wouldn't worry on that. I know someone who is taking care of that already.

One SF isn't enough...

you need 2 atleast. but then again, i'll be happy if i already get one, while i keep trying to find a second one...

well, I still have van Eckhout, who is getting a decent share of training as well...

he is VERY similar to Sammy, except that he missed 1 week training due to injury, and his JS is significantly lower then Sammy's, so he'll always limp behind on that skill.

For the rest he is about the same, so as back up, he will be more then decent.

That is if you wouldn't find a second SF from somewhere else...

and still GS 7. How is this possible? Ottevaere has received perfect minutes. Nearly my entire team is in top shape, except for my SF. he just won't budge... And it's starting to annoy me that i can't use him in the NT...

I wouldn't bench him for it. you can be certain the 7 will be very close to 8, so there no reason to let a lesser player play which has GS8.
Also, when the other player has 9, he should be a lot less good either, it's likely there's only 1,2 levels diffrence between a 9 and Otto, which in the end, isn't THAT high, unless both players are equally good in skills.

i can't believe my eyes!

first off, we defended like a bot today! we allowed 96 points from a team who's top player is near 60k. we had 3x the salary on each position. It's ashaming! But atleast we made 146 points and got a good point average out of it.

with the very surprizing defeats of Russia ( by the hands of Sakartvelo no less!) and of the roumains ( by the hands of the Netherlands) we got 5 teams with 2 wins and 2 losses, of which the Belgiums have the best goal average. But Both Belgium and Netherlands still need to face eachother and need to face the czechs, and knowing that the Netherlands are facing the Czechs last, that means that our calender remains the toughest one.

anyone with a 5-2 record now will get the 2nd ticket to the european championship. but as it looks now, we might be in for a ending where 4 teams end with a 4-3 record!

Anyhow, the good news is that we got our own qualification in our own hands, and that is the best news we've had so far in this qualifier.

I guess that the high pace in offense and defense was the biggest problem...
When you play at a fast pace like that, it's logical that the other team also scores a lot!
Since you got 21 steals, which isn't that much on a pressing I guess...
Especially vs a team like Luxembourg!

i was very dissapointed by the score, i won't deny that.Since lux was always playing in a very slow pace, i though we would be able to get a ton of steals early up by pressing them right away... unfortunately, this didn't really work out for us.

They got 18 OR's, which by all means is an insane high number for thier players... At a certain moment, i was wondering if their C's true name wasn't K. Garnett :P

this is the 2nd game with Fleeton in good shape, and once again, he's got monstrous stats.

Well the game also has got a certain luck factor...
Maybe they got lucky? + Their HCA would have also helped them!
Lost some games to the fact that I was unlucky myself... So yeah... That would be an explanation...
Let's hope we got the same luck vs the Netherlands?

They didn't have HCA, the game was played at neutral.
All the problem was FCP in defense, because it works very rarely. With M2M Belgium highly probably would have won by higher PD.
As you can see, we scored the same points, but Luxembourg 27 points less than against Belgium. FCP increase FG% of Luxembourg significantly.
