Very true. But to return to the examples provided by Astragoth, two of those teams are pretty weak.
Kanazawa Kings are a JBBL team (1st Div in Japan), and played a LI offense. Against Kyoto Shogun and Shikoku Otaku - two of the best 3 teams in my Div - much lower fouling. Kyoto has the best center/PF combo in our league.

I believe you're quite possibly right as far as LI goes. But I still think that there's something missing in that... or maybe those games are simply exceptions. I do know that I've seen other people have similar thoughts with PL games - I'll try get in touch with them and get them to post their experiences.

The amount of fouls definitely depends on the defensive prowess of the defending players, which are determined by the other teams offense type. Some research, like the one you're proposing to do would be most welcome too, in order to substantiate such a claim.

Not according to the stats on buzzerbeater-manager. And no-one as strong as Kyoto, Otaku or Kanazawa. Two players with 5 fouls in 14 minutes (the team with 15) doesn't seem a wee bit extreme to you?

I don't entirely agree Wolph. Firstly, you are unaware as to the strengths of the teams in my PL (whilst having better balance overall, I would guess that none of the teams in my PL are as good as Kyoto/Shikoku), and secondly - no: two of the teams Astragoth pulled out were against weaker teams (one of the "near bots" you mention). Against the stronger/better teams, Shikoku/Kyoto for example, I have been fine foul-wise (13/15 fouls respectively - Kyoto played an inside offense, Shikoku an outside).

Generally speaking, I foul substantially more in PLs than I do in regular games. It's... weird.

I have been lucky enough for this season - and the last - to face a strong team and a weak team each week. Just randomness of the scheduling where I've been fortunate.
I've managed my roster to a point where there's not a lot of difference to the line-up I'd put in against strong teams, and the line-up I use on PLs. Perhaps a few key players play less minutes... yet they accumulate more fouls. As I said before: it's... odd.
