well brett - ACT Blaze left our ranks last season. he was always willing to put in his 2c. comes and goes now.

and Neeber - Beasts Red has gone incredibly quiet. used to contribute alot.

and well we get other elustrious guests. such as leeroy, yoda, iwen, ezlife, roozer and now yourself.

Cheers. One of the great things about BB is that you can keep on meeting new blokes (and gals). And like most aussie mates we know, are easy to talk with and, in the world of BB, share our love of basketball. I think the longer those relationships continue (see ABBL guys) the more enjoyable the game can become because of those relationships. It's just a shame that in my league, your league and perhaps every other aussie league, fewer managers are getting on the forums and putting their 2 bobs worth in. I appreciate that we all live lives that range from slow paced to those who probably only manage to log on, set their lineups and then log off again. Shame.

I might also add that the Fishbowl, while currently being downgraded, seems to be a collective of top aussie managers who are mostly approachable and open to the banter that keeps this game interesting as we strive for the pinnacle of ABBL.

the thing i luv about the aussie community, whilst we are all competing against each other, everyone is willing to pass on advice and help Australia as a BB nation get better... unlike most online games where people keep shit to themselves so they can get ahead..

we will see what happens bainsy... that could be a good "fishbowl league" idea.. will discuss it all with his Yoda-ness...

Yeah i agree; however, we have a team in our league at present who had an awesome 18 yr olds (HOF) last season who didn't get a minutes worth of training. Added to this was the fact that the guy obviously never read the manual as he had no idea as he lets his players GS go to shit. I desperately wanted to BBmail him and say "hey mate, what's the deal with Jolly," but I didn't. Why? If this guy sorted out his shit (JS and training) he will be another roadblock for me leaving Div III.3. I know this sounds pretty shitty but hey, this is also a game. While I'm the first to offer advice on any question posed, I'm not going to give an opponent the key to beating me. Especially when he's not active in the forums. Is this too harsh?

Hey Leeroy. You might like to know that because of your strong performance in the North this past season in our only game (you punished me) I went into tank mode. lol Only just recovered recently enough to start rebuilding. Thanks. lol

Yeah that's what some of the Calamari boys said, citing that you were (are) a pretty strong team. I wasn't satisfied and made some changes. It's all good. That's the great thing about BB, you can always try new things if you're not happy with the way things go. I'm not satisfied with my current lineup but I'll get there. My trainees will be awesome in another season or two.

ok.. almost everyone :P

i would prolly send him a pm, not offering any advice straight up, but point him to the forums and say 'hey mate, nice player u got there, if u have any questions feel free to ask on the forum here..." that way, it puts the onus on them..

at the start of each season, i PM all newcomers to the league and direct them to the forum.. this year i think only 1 guy replied, and he has been doing a stellar job of getting his ship in order.
