Fishbowl Season Eight All Star Teams

ALL STAR TEAMS ANNOUNCED

Here authorised by no-one, signifying nothing and obviously subject to debate are the season five All-Star teams. This season we have again limited each team to one all-star per team and the player needs to be listed in a suitable position. Remember this is not who is the best player, merely who has performed the best in the Fishbowl this season.

Sure to cause a lot of discussion it has been pointed out that not being able to post in the ladders/MVPs thread puts people off posting so feel free to post at will. I'm sure no-one agrees with me and I would love to hear your opinion. Who was snubbed? Who doesn't deserve to be there? Who should be the actual MVP of each league?

LOL. Surely bainsy paid you off Yoda. I don't see Garrie Addison in any of the League leaders tables. PPG/RPG/APG all fail to mention him.

Not a lot of quality SF talent in the South and the team did well with him as one of their stars.

Well Mr. Yoda I don't do my research often. But an opportunity to get at Bainsy is one I shall not pass up.

I actively went looking for the better SF of the season and stumbled across ex-U21 player Alvin Turnbull who for some reason had been playing SF for the majority of the PL.

Here were his numbers:
19.1 PPG - 7.6 APG - 4.6 RPG

I then compared them with the Garry Addison (aka "The Gay Adder")
11.8 PPG - 4.36 APG - 6.18 RPG

As you can see, Bainsy does not deserve this honour of having one of his players labelled as an allstar. Just like in the III.12 MVP voting he should not be present at all

Well I searched him out (as you didn't mention what team he was from) and he did play about half his games at SF even though he is listed as a PG. If you actually went through all his PL games with a calculator that is impressive dedication. I am sure I had him mentally in the PG category, there are a lot of great PGs in the South but as you correctly pointed out he should be eligible as a SF. He was playing for a bottom five team which does go against him but I think this one is good enough to refer to the appeals committee.

dont make me go through it with a fine tooth comb leeroy. i am sure i can find a reason for one of my players to make it

edit: in fact if you take this to the appeals then i am pretty confident i can put for a strong case for another player and make matty8 a very sad panda

best of a bad bunch....i would rather not get a player in, than just get 1 because.. that is just embarrassing!

the participation award : garrie addison... i wont tell you what we called that in primary school, as it isnt politically correct these days :D again he lives up to his nick name of Gall Bladder

It doesn't count but I am sure it has a psychological effect on me when he played so well against me in the National Tournament game.

I didn't even realise his stats were that good in the PL maybe I should play him at sf more often in all my games.
