but.......IS is at 3..........chances it will ever hit 10 are slim..... nw don't get me wrong, U think he should Train Is.......but only until it gets to like 6 or 7.........I mean it'll take some time for IS to pop...........he can become a good secondary SG.........kinda like the Ye Huaien I showed you...just better.

He doesn't have to hit 10. If he trained relatively spread over the next 3 seasons, it would probably take 16 or so IS's to get it done, so the chances it will ever hit 10 if he wants it to can easily hit 100%.

I don't necessarily think it needs to hit 10 as a PG. I think he can get away with an 8 (would take 11 over the next 2.5 seasons to get it). he could if trained right have something like a 10/8/14/13/11/11 8/8. Those guys you cant find cheap on the market (most are million dollar listings)

I agree with you. Depeneding on how his training goes, i may try to get it to 8. I think it will be better to do that now while he is young so that his youth training speed offsets his height slowing it down a little. Then ill swith to and PA and Js and OD and all that

so now basically Rautin? (did I speel it right?)

train IS, agree with wolph.

Then do my plan second, get PA, driving, and OD up..............


leave JS for last since it'll be salar/potential eating, never want that.

He can really pick and choose how and when he wants to do what bit of training. It just makes sense to move IS from 3 to roughly 6 by the end of this season because that makes him a more versatile player (just straight train only that for 6 weeks)

While a handful of folks don't see tremendous value in IS on a PG (such as in the guide that most new players should read), there are quite a few situations over a given season where a PG will take shots that are based off of this rating. It's no secret that if you look at most any NT's board (i've looked at about 4 just to make sure), they literally post that a player with 6-7 IS/ID as a U21 and 8-10 as a NT is going to go a lot further than someone who just has 2's and 3's. That isn't by mistake. Theres no way this particular player makes it into the U21 or NT, but that doesn't mean he can't build him with the same approach intact.

If it were me directly, i'd work on making this my flow+ defense PG after IS, because of the TL market right now. Guys that are two dimensional in both offensive and defensive areas as a PG (8+ ID, 8+ IS, ~10 JS & then better @ OD, PA, HA, & DR) sell for roughly 1.2M average. one dimensional offensively, two defensively sell for 700-800, offensive weapons cost 400-600 for the most part. So you can always supplement with more offense from the TL, cant so much the well rounded types.

Yeah thats the plan that I envision. Getting him around 7-8 IS makes him an impossible to handle SF and avoids the salary explosion.

Dont misunderstand me on IS. I don't think it's the most important stat on a guard. I just think it's under-appreciated by a lot of lower division teams, who go out and decide that they can pick up C's and Pf's that are good at it so they shouldn't get too enamored with it on their guards. Instead, i play the 'i dont trust the sim engine' card, and i want to make sure that if it does something whacky with my guys on the floor, that each guy has some degree of competence in both defending and shooting from that position on the floor.

Salary considerations are an important 6th or 7th step in the learning curve, i just don't figure it's worth it to tell someone in their 3rd day now too much about it. Don't want an overload to happen.
