It was a ridiculous game. We should have won in regulation

You mean your buzzerbeater at the end of the 4th just to reach the OT should have been a 3? Or am I missing something?

The game against Czech was all Canada's fault, too.

If you remember me, then I don't care if everyone else forgets.

I know you're used to beating us. I've looked at the history. We'll enjoy our one victory.

Everyone has their opinion. I like the fact that Hattrick lists the probability of win/tie/loss after the game. The worst loss I've seen was a team who had a 83% win chance / 14% tie chance / 3% loss chance. That is a fluke.

I wonder what the USA NT vs. Canada NT games would be. Probably not 3% chance. Even then, 3/100 times is not 0/100 and this one just happened to come at worlds and that's why it stings. Lucky for us, unlucky for you.

If you remember me, then I don't care if everyone else forgets.

I will point out for the record that I haven't looked at the USA-Canada game here at all and I wouldn't know if it's a fluke, a mackerel or a pocket eel. But Hattrick's odds of victory aren't from HT itself, but the Foxtrick extension and they are pretty fuzzy - they can't predict anything about special events, aren't great about counter attack and don't take into account that HT's game engine is slightly less of a soccer simulation than the board game Risk.

And can't calculate how much bacon a player consumed during the morning before the game.

I think that's the point Coco is trying to make. The odds were in the USA's favor. The fact that you beat those odds is, as you said, luck and nothing else.

Miami was heavily, heavily favored against Dallas in the finals a couple years back. Luck? No skill at all right?
