I think that the suggestion is ok. If you can prevent teams from having contact with each other it could work. I think that Wolphs suggestion of at most one team in B3 is kind of a necessity.

In Football Identity you have your original football player that you control and can buy extra characters. I think that the original team should be in your own country. This team will stay your first team no matter if you like it or not.

A major drawback to the suggestion is that you will insert a big problem with bot teams. To minimize this problem I think that you should pay for your team on a season basis. This would mean that your extra team(s) will always be botified before start of next season and there would not suddenly be a bot team during season. A disadvantage would of course be that there would be more lucky losers in leagues.

About players in both of your team. I think that a quarantine of 3-5 seasons might be better than to never allow a player to be in both teams. If it is such long time in between there are certainly no cheating option.

I think that the rules discussed in this thread makes it hard to implement additional teams. It would require some new codes written and it might also cause a slower server because you would have to go through some extra rows of code for every transfer.

I personally would like this option if both teams were on the same account it would 1) make transfers a lot easier to track, 2) create a system were the teams have a limited chance to ever play one another (perhaps only one of your teams can only be eligible for B3 at a team, such as only your first team maybe) and 3) the effects of botification and creating a team from a small country are removed. Both team are gone with your account, along with whatever cash you spent for your second team.

I honestly see no reason to purchase supporter as of right now (I actually have enough points to purchase and just haven't). The only feature I might enjoy would be playing in PL but as a newish team without a strong WR it would be difficult to even find an active league of my level.

Question? Should a player get to choose what country his second team is in or should it be random?

I took it for granted that both teams would be on same account. That is for me the only reasonable solution. Then you can mark what is main account and additional teams. I don't think this would be too difficult to implement. Just that you click on a button to switch team. This is implemented in other manager games.

I have to say that keeping managers in their real life countries (as best as we can) is a good thing. I think having cultural commonalities helps the league Forums stay lively and gives our leagues, where we expend most of our energy, more excitement as a result. I'm all for cultural diversity, and if we didn't also have active Global Forums I would probably think differently. It's not that I think having international leagues would mean league forums wouldn't be potentially active, and that they couldn't also be great, wonderful places for all managers to mix, I just think that the level of interaction is different. Also, keeping managers in their own countries helps make the NT formats work, etc. And if somebody really needs to be in an international league, he/she could be a Supporter and create/join an international Private League.

Don't ask what sort of Chunks they are, you probably don't want to know. Blowing Chunks since Season 4!

Ok so if you live in America, then great, yo ucan have an American centered forum for free.

If you live in Japan, shame on you, pay supporter and make a federation and PL to have an active league and forum of guys to play with????

The whole culture commonality thing makes no sense when over 1/2 of the nations in BB are not large enough to support an individual national forum. Japan IS not rare in the BB nations. MOST BB nations are small. MOST BB nations are actually just x-pats of other nations, lots being American.

Your argument makes no sense coming from teh average BB nation. None at all. IF small nation users don't matter cuz there is so few of us, then just remove us form the game alltogether. Require people to live in Italy, Spain, USA etc. and screw you to everyone else if that is how you feel about users from nations wehre BB is not popular. Seriously, I mean this. Right now the nation structure in BB is MAKING FUN of most nations. Think about it. You make a game that works only for you guys in the US, leave it broken for over 1/2 the rest of the world and do nothing to remedy the problem for 20+ seasons.....

Yeah, but it's free if you want it to be, so no one can really complain too loudly.

I think you are spot on Wolph. I am in this game for the challenge and for the community. In Sweden we have enough teams to make it a challenge. But I really would like it to be even more of a challenge. I would prefer if it would require almost as much to reach highest division as it requires to win it today.

To play in a league where you only got 4-5 competitors are something that I have tried in other manager games and it sucks. In Football Arena we have about 12 half active teams and most of these teams never buy new players, i.e. which proves their extremely small involvement. Pretty sure that I could win the league for some seasons in a row if I tried. As the Swedish league is so weak it is pretty obvious why there have been so extremely few new teams that lasted for a while since I started despite being a decent manager game. It must be very similar in countries with 30-40 users in BB. That you could play in B3 is pretty pointless. Not even in medium-sized countries like Sweden do the teams that qualify for B3 bother about it.
