1. Great to see this discussion still going.

2. Great to see something might be done about it.

3. Sad that it has taken this long.

4. Hope they're very careful with adjustments.

5. I hope they take the community's feedback on board when deciding up their adjustments.

6. I made a list.

I think we now have identified a handful of GE issues that need to be fixed,

1. LI
2. SB
3. OD
4. JR
5. salary formula!

If we can scratch the first two points off that list during the next one and a half seasons it would be already a big step in the right direction. To adapt to to such a change will take us some time (train different types of players, try new tactics...), fixing the rest might keep us interested for a handful of seasons - so there is a lot of potential to make this game much more interesting again.

I like the sledgehammer idea a lot, though

There is a famous Australian guard Loc Ðinh (16764939) who was on the U21 team whose manager trained his JR to the levels you suggested about 18 or so with JS about 15 (both from memory). His salary is just massive ($156,000), he is constantly on the TL as one manager after another sees how useless he is, he scores a lot but at a bad percentage (45% last season, 47% the season before despite playing against weak division III and IV defences, I see players with 1/3 of his salary score a similar percentage against much tougher opponents) and doesn't help his team to win all. When a 26 year old HoF guard with a $156,000 salary is constntly on the TL and sells for $340,000 it really tells you something. I hope when they make the mid-season changes they do something so players like this are not so salary inefficient.

If LI loses some of its' firepower and some managers turn to outside tactic, OD will become even more important and too powerful, so I agree wholeheartedly with your 3.

Let's hope they do a shite load of testing before making a definitive decision!

I'm constantly having this problem because I like outside offenses more (just a philosophical thing) and outside players always underperform.
