I meant have my team and then maybe a couple of trainees to play Scrims but I rather get talent and build my game plan around the talent I have. The only reason I would train is to help my country not myself. That's why I said D II. Training a player for three seasons just seems like a waste when can just get a vet to produce for me now and just get rid of him at anytime. Don't get me wrong I will be training player in the future because I want too see the USA win gold every season (u21 and NT) but I'll train for that reason and not to benefit myself.

That's the nice thing about the game - as long as you respect the rules, you can do whatever you want.

When I first started out, I had the same theory about buying vets to make my team a contender immediately, and it payed off, as I won the D.V title that season. But that's easy to do against a bunch of bots, as you can spend relatively cheap money on an average player that can be a star in D.V. Once you get into D.IV and D.III though, it becomes very difficult to continuously buy quality talent on the TL and stay afloat financially, as its not really a linear relationship between player talent and player cost, from what I observe. But more power to you if that's your game plan.
