Imo the "The Merge" thread does not look like one where you can give opinions on the matter, it seems much more like an official statement that the decision has been made and we should all make suggestions for names, does it not?

How can more competition be a bad thing? Did you like playing bots? Did it make you feel good beating a team managed by a computer? You say it takes the fun out of the game but the new season starts tomorrow. What FUN were you talking about?

Well, it's true that merge will make game more challenging and enjoyable, but majority (around 80%) of managers are going to their priviliges of being D1 club. It's understandable that's gonna hurt. I guess that's the main problem here - in case of Africa merge less teams lost their D1 status, so there wasn't such a reaction.
It will take months (and maybe even drops in number of users) before pros of merge become bigger than its biggest con.

We had two guys here in Japan work their asses off to get their world rank up to get into D1, why didn't these other people do the same? I just don't get all the bitching, I play this game for the competition and playing bots isn't that.

I was playing in a division full of human managed teams, next time when you come on here and try to act condescending, do some research first.

Icelandic team playing Icelandic teams is just more enjoyable and who are you to decide for me what is more fun?

And it seems like I didn't decide, Buzzerbeater decided what is more fun. And like that other dude said, you are late to the complain party, you should have gotten puffy chested months ago.

Gotta agree with you. Who doesn't like winning, so to be honest I was not happy about the merge but the larger nations continued complaining won thru. Personally would have like a merge of ireland, scotland and wales to create a british isles league. I am willing to embrace change and challenge and give it a go, but my main worry is that our smaller nations will be killed off. What has happened in Africa has it been a success. Overall I really liked representing my Welsh nation and now I have to follow a blue poodle on a white flag.
