Even if this is true, would it not then still be a benefit, and thus not useless, to have higher SB with the good ID to stop the few shots that get past the ID strength?

I once had a team with 1757 players and was $25,835,360 in debt. This is not that team. Join the Discord group open to anyone, but especially for USA managers to improve your club or get involved with the U21 and NT programs (https://discord.gg/cKpNkt2).

Awesome information, thanks for this.

My training plan is nearly identical to your guy. No shooting capability but high defense and PA. I have two guys currently in the training plan.

So here's the one question I have with this type of player - did you use him in zones?

This thread isn’t about how many skills you can pack into an efficient beast. It’s about a defensive monster. Less blocked shots doesn’t mean he was useless. His high ID meant less opponents attacking him, but in those fewer instances the SB was handy.

Marin never said he readjusted OD as he did for SB and 3pt shooting.
